I hope you dont put a lot of confidence in Russell as your "Great QB" Because he's not going to be anything special @ the NFL level...We all know he has a strong arm, but who cares? His accuracy is horrid. In 2007 Russell had a completion % of 54.5 In 2008 Russell had a completion % of 53.8 Not going to get it done @ the NFL level. Russell matured during his last 8 games? lol, really? Going 3-5 is what you call "Maturing"? Sounds like a losing QB in my eyes. With the Jets...We have one of the best O-Lines and Rushing attack in the leauge, something Raider fans could only dream of having. D'Brickishaw Ferguson= Franchise LT (Something the raiders dont have) Alan Faneca= Top 5 LG, Future HOF, Still only 31 years of age. (Something the Raiders dont have) Nick Mangold= One of the best young centers in the game today. (Something the raiders dont have) Brandon Moore= One of the most underrated RG's in the game today. The man was a huge reason why Curtis Martin led the league in rushing yards in 04 and was a huge reason why Thomas Jones led the AFC in rushing last year. He's also only 28 years of age and finially coming into his own. (Something the Raiders dont have) Damien Woody= A veteran RT who's started for a SB winning team in the past, a veteran leader and solid pass protector from the right side (Something the Raiders dont have) We also have two pro bowl running backs in Thomas Jones and Leon Washington (Something the Raiders dont have) And I'll take Cotchery over any WR the Raiders have as of right now. Give me a GREAT O-Line and a Solid running game anyday of the week. The Raiders? lol... Lucky to win 4+ games a year

Go look at Russel'sS stats the last 8 games, u see a qb maturing right before our eyes...look at peyton manning's first yr, not so good loomk at him now ur o-line faneca, woody suck at pass blocking..look at the raider game all the punhishment we Dished out to old manFavre...if that was in teh streets someone wo0ulda gone to jail. and also raider offense is 100x better than the jets..leon is 0Verated as evident by his scared tactics against raider best special teams in the world. ur talent is a joke periodd..i'll take the man Al davis who is proven over the jets management who have won nothing WR...cotcher is a #2 possession wr...nothing special. raideRs have shields, schillens, and more potential youth wr's
Don't encourage the Raiders fan, just ignore whatever he/she/it is saying Anyway, it's hard to judge our offense now...we still have the draft and June 1st cuts before training camp starts. Our defense looks pretty solid on paper so far, if our offense can be a lil above average I think we'll have a good year
We've been over this. QB ratings of 40, 19, 50 were outstanding for you Raiders down the stretch. Oh yeah the immortal Chaz Schilens and Shields. Grand total of 30 catches between the two of them... look out they run 4.5 40s!!!!

To Jake: How many Interceptions did Peyton throw in his first year. Again how many more times did Peyton manning pass the ball than Russell did in his first year starting. So obviously you trying to compare both numbers is laughable. When Raiders upgrade RT and Russell throws as many passes as Peyton ,than show me those numbers. (Its irrelevant ) Again you examine Russell numbers last eight games . He completed something Like 65% of his passes. Threw way more Tds than interceptions. You see a young QB maturing right before our eyes. You throw the ball enough and anyone can throw for three hundred yards. See Chad Pennington how many times he did this year. IT like rushing for over 1000 yards in sixteen game season. How hard is it to do that if you get enough carrys. NOw again You look at both Schilens anjd Higgins numbers(Tds) in regard to how many times Raiders threw the football and it quite impressive. (down the stretch) Both made big plays . IF Russell was dropping back forty times a game- those numbers wouldn't be that impressive. (you would expect bigger numbers) Raiders were very effective on offense down thew stretch - Russell < Schilens and Higgins were a big part of that sucess. Giving Raider fans alot of hope for the future.

Joe instead of retyping the whole fuckin argument over again why don't we just revisit the original thread regarding Jam Russell's "progress" over the last 8 games. I invite all TGG posters to specifically note Russell's performance @ Tampa and how Joe claims Russell led them to victory despite direct evidence of only 14 completions the whole game, 5 of them for more than 10 yds!
