Nice to see Pelf gut one out for the team... nice performance today without his best stuff.

I get mad every time I see Dunn come to bat for the Nationals. Seriously, what the fuck is he doing on that team? The Mets didn't like his defense but they'll start Murphy every day in left who's even worse defensively.

Lefty bat who strikes out a lot, just what the Mets need!

Right, because 40 hrs and a .400 OBP will not be that much better than what the Mets end up getting out of the LF position this year. Extra base hits are overrated anyway, all you need to do is hit a bunch of singles and you're sure to score alot of runs, like we've seen from the Mets offense so far.

Bad Ollie is here once again. What's the over-under on batters he'll face - 14?

    Shocking recovery for Ollie.

How is it possible that a major leaguer can be that incompetent in LF?

At what point do you decide he can't play there?

one of those runs is on Murphy. That was pathetic.

Delgado is freaking slow. Them showing him "busting it" was hilarious. 4 triples as a Met.

first steal off ollie in last 15 starts.

he's struggling, but Mets are working Zimmermann. He threw 30 in the first inning.

    Looking like a slugfest.

It's kind of strange because Murphy played about 30 games in left last year and while I don't remember him being good he certainly wasn't anything like this disaster in the field every other game he's been this year.

    what a bunt

Perez has all the hits for Mets starters, with 2.

Ryan Zimmerman was playing way too deep.

reyes strands both runners with a flyout. Oh well. Still forcing a lot of pitches.

Ollie is just terrible today. Going to have to score a lot of runs off the bullpen to win this

4-1 Nationals, Ollie at about 60 pitches in the 3rd

That's my impression also - he seems to have taken a gigantic step backwards. And now they won't let him throw directly to the plate on a ground ball single when he picks it up 30 feet behind the infield dirt? WTF?

Is Beltran out of his freaking mind? Has he committed to a "no sliding" approach to baserunning? What is the matter with this team?

God, Perez is awful. I was all in favor of re-signing him, but right now it looks like a disastrous decision.

can't really predict a guy in his late 20's losing 7 or 8 mph off his fastball for no apparent reason.
