Could be the case Don. Mangini seems very out of touch at this point. Naming the starter but know revelaing who is jsut silly. Does anyone really belive the Browns offense will be good enough this season no matter who is at the helm?

Also remember that Favre is the same guy who told the Vikings' coaches that his arm might have become fatigued last year because he threw nearly 200 passes his first practice with the Jets to try to show off to the fans. The only problem is there were other people there who said there was no way he threw that many passes.

Favre is all about Favre. Always has been, always will be.

ESPN has put an even more ominous spin on this. They are saying that Favre said the Jets FO knew he had a torn biceps and urged him to continue playing. The charge being serious because he was never listed on any Jets injury report.

This is going to get more print for sure.

I think it's B.S. It's obvious to everyone Favre's arm was hurting us in December last year. If he would have told the CS he can't get it done I'm positive they would have put Clemens in.

    This is BS.

Why is he only mentioning this now?

Everybody and their dog knew Favre's arm was hurting. I don't think putting Kellen in would have gotten us more wins. Maybe, one more, but it wouldn't have been enough to get us in the playoffs last season. Our defense sucked down the stretch, too (thus, defensive guru Rex Ryan and some big name defensive signings this past offseason).

With all due respect, you could have won one of those West Coast games with both hands tied behind your back. My Grandma could have done it on a bad day. And she's six feet under.

I find it impossible to believe that Farve told Mangini and Shotty that his arm was killing him and was weak during the week leading up to the Seattle game, and then that Shotty took that info and concluded that he should throw the ball over and over again in a snowstorm.

    Favre is a liar.

Farve said there was an MRI taken that revealed the injury. So if true there may be proof that mangini knew.

If that is true The Jets will get in big trouble for not listing it on the injured list. I hope it is mangini who gets in trouble and not the Jets! But It will probably be the Jets.

    No wonder they fired him!

Nice post. Between Favre's circus statements and Mangini's wall of silence, we will never know what the actual truth is.

Although I would still like an honest, first hand account of 2008 end of the season flop.

An actual quote from Mangini. I'm shocked. The Jets spin is that it was consentual for Favre to play hurt. I believe that more than the he said/she said.

    Tanny fessed up as well.

Wished Favre would keep his mouth shut. Just go play for the Vikings and forget NY Brett.

    AAbsolutely.
I can't believe that people are still supporting this prima-bitch.

How can anyone beleive anything this pillowbiter says?

I don't care what Tanny says. Remember, the GM is trying to take the heat for Mangini & Favre....Why?
Why is Tanny trying to take the heat? Because he CAN.
