No, actually I have a thoughts about our draft, and figured I would post them, and see what others think. If I am seeking attention, I would certainly not seek it at theganggreen.com
So, do you have anything to add to my post? Maybe you can tell me a little about the tight end we just drafted.
WA WA WA stop being a little bitch this draft was good. Thats another thing about draft time we have losers and dumbasses like this guy join the board so they can cry about picks and saying we should of had these other players who really dont fit in our schemes. Straight up losers.
Apparently our draft was so bad alot of the espn crew and everyone else is saying the Jets had one of the best drafts. but hey what does a bunch of former players and guys who get paid to analyze this stuff really know right?
There is a whole thread dedicated to the TE. If you want my opinions you can go look there. Maybe I don't want to contribute to a post where someone joins just to complain.
I lot of the people here are going to bitch no matter what the FO is going to do but if we start to win in a few years they will be saying how great the new FO is. Where you at Hammerjacks for the draft?
I can understand fans being unhappy with years of losing; the first game I went to was to see the Titans in the Polo Grounds so I've seen the (very little) good and the (great deal of) bad. That said, we need to give these guys a chance. It seems to me that, more than any management team we've had in a long time, they have a plan to build for the long term. I can understand the lure of taking the glamorous player, but they inherited a team with an incredible number of holes. This was a team that came by it's 4-12 record honestly. The 248 yards a game on offense were not just a function of QB injuries, but a lousy O-line and lack of talent at skill positions. The defense was an absolute sieve; the decent pass defense numbers were deceptive, because everyone ran wild on them and, with the Jets always losing, they didn't need to throw. These guys are trying to create the foundation of a tough, competitive team, hard-hitting on defense, tough O-line on offense, designed to win in the Northeastern winter. Let's give them a chance before we write them off. I think they have a chance of building something pretty decent here and I like what they've done with this draft.
