You don't know me. I joke around a lot of the time but I know what I'm talking about. Wow.....I made one comment about the Saints offensive percentages without looking it up first, and now all of a sudden I don't know anything, right?
haha... really... remember when Baltimore kicked your ass all over the filed in the playoffs last year... its called Deja-Vu!
Actually it's not the same. They tweaked it. And you can expect some plays that you have never seen before. We're gonna pull them out just for you.
That was Baltimore. Last I checked, the Jets don't have the Ravens players. I don't know, you guys are smarter than me.
all of a sudden? after reading your first post, I knew the wheel was spinning but the hamster was dead.
No...we have something much better - Baltimores previous DC as our Head Coach.....and plenty of talent on the defensive side of the ball. Hell...we get to introduce you guys to the new and improved, Rex-charged Calvin Pace. Henne will be a skid mark on Tues night.
Nope I can't argue with the possibilities. The Jets could easily turn up the offense with Edwards being a key player. It's a roll of the dice and in a season where the defense is as good as this defense it's an acceptable gamble. I still want to see Edwards produce before I say the deal was a good idea.
I posted this in the huge thread, but its probably more relevant here. Who gives a shit who is the #1 or #2? two great receivers on the same team is a win win win for the Jets when you add in a dynamic like Keller and a play making machine like leon. Also here is a blatant DUH to you idiots. Edwards will be out produced by J-co this year Book it! barring injury of course. Cotchery is way ahead in production to this point, Edwards now has to learn a new play book and then gain serious chemistry with Sanchez before he can even think about producing at his 07 level. next year the full effect of this trade will really be felt. But as we move closer to the rematch in New England Edwards and Sanchez will become a great tandem, with Cotch on the other side and leon the patriot killer. We will be a damn good team by seasons end...
Cotchery is a better receiver than Edwards. The only thing Edwards has that Cotchery doesn't is real speed, and he makes up for it with bobble-itis. I'll guarantee you that the really big catches this year will be from Cotchery. They already have been with nobody opposite him to draw away double coverage and they'll continue to be. I'm hoping Edwards hits town with the right attitude: which is to fit in and be part of a great team. If he comes in thinking he's more important than Sanchez or Cotchery or Keller and everybody needs to know it then we've got a huge issue to deal with. Because he's not and never will be.
thats a great point, in all trades, the guys you traded for have to come in and work hard, because if they don't unless you give up a bag of chips, it will never be worth it...
Really? You might want to hop over to www.nfl.com and take a look at the defensive stats and rankings. Looks pretty real to me.....
hopefully getting out of Cleveland for a winning team with a mean and focused attitude in the biggest market in the country is enough to make Edwards want to fit in and succeed. if that doesn't, nothing will.
we will be seeing more nickle defenses that will try to keep a safety on kellyer (vs a linebacker) and an extra DB or free safety to play over top of cothery and edwards. Basically, teams will pull a LB for another DB/Safety. They will have to. This makes Greene the happiest jet.
you know he is sitting home smiling thinking about it. No offense to Stuck but he didn't really scare anyone. Yuo have to account for Edwards and you have to account for him going deep. Should really open up the middle for Cotch. If they drop a linebacker into coverage to help it could also open up the running game. Should also benefit the play action -- all BE has to do is catch a few balls and get his confidence back.
