how many times do we have to talk about this? it is the single wing it is a classic football formation. it is a simple numbers game. typically nobody has to account for the qb, in this they do. its a mismatch and it is absolutely brilliant. anyone who calls it cheap or gimmick or pussy isnt listening to why it works and why its hard to defend. i too thought it was gimmicky when it was first used, until i realized the reason it works and why its so hard to defend.

I am going to go under because I think with Jenkins out, the Phins rely on base running packages more, reducing WC plays. A lot of folks are neglecting to consider Jenkins absence. It's made larger by Miami having the #2 running offense. Ricky and Ronnie can have a field day taking the ball from Henne.

my stance on the wildcat is simple. A double reverse is a gimick play, so is a flee-flicker, yet when these are run, nobody complains about it? Heck a flee flicker could be used on nearly every offensive play just like the wildcat. If the other team can't stop it why go away from it? Until they stop you, why change it up? If we run the ball 53 times in a row today and are averaging 4.5 ypc, why on earth on the 54 play should we pass the ball? Remember what the Raiders did to us a few years ago? what was it 27 straight run plays? we couldnt stop it and they had no reason to deviate. I would expect nothing less from the Dolphins today. If we stop it early, it will go by the way side, if they destroy us with it like 3 weeks ago, damn sure they will keep doing it.

I think that we need to come out early and control the ball with long possessions until we get up atleast 2 scores. Then they will forced to pass and thats were we will exploit the inexperience of Henne. On another note I see the game ending today with Henne making a Pennington-esque drive down the field in the final two minutes only to throw an intercept to Revis.
