Really? What's ridiculously easy about the following four games? 11/15- at Pittsburgh 12/13- at Minnesota 12/20- at San Diego 1/3- at N.Y. Jets Also, keep in mind Oakland plays once a month. They saved up all their September energy for the Kansas City game. In October, it was about the Eagles game. November? Well, forget about Thanksgiving Day. The Raiders will lay down like dogs that day. They've already beaten KC, so why exert themselves on 11/15? That leaves the 11/22 game vs Cincinnati. That's got November Raiders Effort written all over it. Can the Raiders help the Jets in December? 12/6 at PIT, 12/13 WAS, 12/20 at DEN, 12/27 at CLE. I betcha the Denver game is the one December game in which the Raiders will try to win. That could help the Jets because it's not written in stone that Denver will win the West. They very well could be fighting with the Jets for a Wild Card spot.
So would I. No problem rooting for the Pates if they are 11-4 and the Jets are 9-6 and a Jets win and Patriots win would put the Jets into the postseason. It was only seven years ago when a Patriots win in Week 17 helped the Jets secure a playoff berth.
Assuming the first 4 spots are for the division winners and the 5 and 6 for the two other best teams I think it goes like this: 1. Colts 2. Steelers 3. Patriots 4. Broncos (what a joke) 5. Bengals 6. Ravens (whoever reaches the 10-6 mark) I think 90% this is going to be how it looks. Chargers will have a hard time with that D, Texans are without Daniels and it's almost injury time for Schaub and we will find a way to loose a game we are supposed to win. The Dolphins are out too for obivous reasons... F***ck you Dorpheens (Southpark citation).
In my scenario we would have beat them week 11 (3 in a row) and would be meeting them in the 1st round of the playoffs (4 in a row). Sorry if I didn't make myself clear.
Anyone think, that the Jets - Bengals game will be regular season playoff game? it's a very big possibility I think
East: NE=3 West: Den=4 North: Pitt=2 South: Indy=1 Wildcard: NYJ=5 Wildcard: Cin=6 Wildcard round 1st round Bye= Indy and Pit NE hosts Cincy= NE 28-24 Den hosts NYJ= NYJ 14-10 Divisional round Indy Hosts NYJ= Indy 24-17 Pitt Hosts NE= NE 21-10 AFC Final Indy Hosts NE= NE 24-14 AFC Champs = NE I dont want this anymore than you guys do but Brady is starting to heat up and the D is starting to make plays (esp in the backend) not to mention that they are going to have freddy taylor in the backfield in a few weeks too. Indy just has way to many injuries in the defense backend to make it to the SB. As far as the Jets are concerned... Our D WILL keep us in games and teams will stack the box and dare Sanchez to beat them (ala Flaco). I see us a year to two away before we will be holding the AFC trophy!
Honestly... Division winners: 1. New England 2. Pittsburgh 3. Indianapolis 4. San Diego Wildcards: 5. Cincinnati 6. Denver
1.Colts 2.Pittsburgh 3.Jets 4.Denver 5.Patsies 6.Bengals I still think the Jets are going to run the table, call me crazy.
1. Colts 14-2 2. NE 12-4 3. Pitts 11-5 4. Denver 11-5 5. San Diego 10-6 6. Cinny 10-6 Byes: NE and Colts 1st round: Pitts beats Cinny San Deigo beats Denver 2nd round: Colts beat San Diego Pitts beat NE AFC Champ Colts beat Pitts Jets finish 9-7 the Buffalo game is the one we wish we had back.
This league changes by the week: 1. Colts 2. Steelers 3. Chargers 4. Jets 5. Patriots 6. Ravens The Broncos and Bengals both miss out! This is insanity. Insanity? THIS IS THE NFL!!!!
1. IND 2. PIT 3. NE 4. DEN 5. CIN 6. SD ------------------ 7. NYJ 8. HOU 9. BAL 10. MIA Not foreseeing a Jets playoff run. Not with NE, IND, ATL, and CIN left on the schedule.
From the standpoint of looking at current records and the remaining schedule: Colts 8-0, NE, @Bal, @Hou, Ten, Den, @Jax, NYJ, @Buf = 14-2 and #1 seed. Steelers 6-2, Cin, @KC, @Bal, Oak, @Cle, GB, Bal, @Mia = 13-3 and #2 seed. Patriots 6-2, @Ind, NYJ, @NO, @Mia, Car, @Buf, Jax, @Hou = 11-5 and #3 seed. Broncos 6-2, @Was, SD, NYG, @KC, @Ind, Oak, @Pha, KC = 11-5 and #4 seed Chargers 5-3, Pha, @Den, KC, @Cle, @Dal, Cin, @Ten, Was = 11-5 and #5 seed. --------------- Bengals 6-2, @Pit, @Oak, Cle Det, @Min, @SD, KC @NYJ = 10-6 Texans 5-4, Ten, Ind, @Jax, Sea, @StL, @Mia, NE = 10-6 Jets 4-4, Jax, @NE, Car, @Buf, @TB, Atl, @Ind, Cin = 10-6 Last weekend of the season. Jets need Texans to lose to the Patriots AND they need to beat Cincinnati. Sorry, that's just my long experience as a Jet's fan speaking.
If I'm being honest... 1. IND 2. NE 3. PIT 4. SD 5. CIN 6. DEN I just think Denver is due a letdown, but pull it together at the very end to squeak back in. We'll end up 9-7, wondering about what could have been thanks to a couple of games we gave away the 1st half of the season, but I should probably concede that 10-6 probably wouldn't have been enough either. And to finish it out: 1st round: Pitts beats Denver Cincy beats SD 2nd round: Colts beat Cincy Pitts beat NE AFC Champ Toss up right now really, but if you put a gun to my head, Colts beat Pitts
Colts, Steelers and Pats are pretty definite. And of course either SD or Denver has to be in it. I also think the Bengals are likely, and may even win the division - it's a different Bengals team this year, I think, anyway. The real question is whether the Ravens or the second place AFC west team is more likely to make it. I dunno.
