Refereeing in (Pats) game I never used to believe it... Called it coincidental... Whatever... But I have changed my viewpoint 180 degrees and decided.. That the referees are CLEARLY in favor of New England. I really believe it. I don't know who's paying who or what the conspiracy is, but it's inevitable... Some of these calls today have been just TERRIBLE. And Brady gets roughing the passer calls too much... So from someone who always thought it was a coincidence, I now believe there is some serious favoritism going on for New England. And even in the Jets game yesterday it seemed they were clearly for the Bengals... Refereeing in the NFL needs to be looked into.. I'm sure most other people here are already convinced of this, but I'm a somewhat new believer... Thoughts?
Yeah, I don't think the refs are favoring one team over another - they are being universally terrible calls. So far, the crew doing the Packers/Cardinals game is doing a good job.
Sor the illegal contact and the pi called on revis were two of the worst calls I have seen all year, this is the playoffs and these are supposed to be the best refs. Let the boys play!!!
They botched that TD pass to Fitz play. Jolly(?) was clearly held, but he still manages to make a totally clean hit on Warner. Downfield, Larry decks Charles Woodson to get open. Roughing the quarterback. Ugh...
With the number of penalties and calls/no calls it leads me to believe the officiating has gotten off to a terrible beginning this playoffs.
But bad needs to be fixed! I agree I don't think this is a conspiracy but the league needs to address it with holding refs accountable somehow! I watched 3 pass interference calls against the Jets that were bogus. Then in the Dallas game I saw two plays that were same as the calls against us and they called both against the offense. The refs need to be calling the same things the same way (each game) the players need to know going into the game what is going to be called and how. They just don't right now and it needs to be corrected.
