Dan Uggla was recently quoted as saying that players would run through a wall for Wally, his players love him and don't be surprised if one day soon he is the manager of the Mets

 

I loved Wally Backman and I'm hoping this incident occurred when he was a dumb drunk and he has since cleaned up his life. Otherwise he will never be a major league manager and certainly not for the image conscience Mets.

Is there no middle ground to you between complete hot headed idiot and completely clueless idiot? That was a disgraceful display and anyone that thinks that was funny is just as retarded as Wally Backman.
