Small Market Team vs New York Yankees 8/6 -8/9

I wish that almost every Yanks/Sox series wasn't on a weekend. It nearly always means that two of the games are going to involve either Buck/McCarver or Miller/Morgan.

And I just don't care enough about this series, even if they get swept. I'm far more concerned about the Rays.

 

Agreed. The Sox are all but done at this point. The Rays are at absolute worst the second best team in baseball. And in a short series, I'm actually afraid of them.

I'll be in AC this weekend so I probably won't see most of this series. That's okay, I don't feel like spending 6 hours in front of the tv anyway.

 

A Yankees sweep would pretty much end the Red Sox season. Even 3/4 would be devastating.

My wild, baseless prediction for this series: AJ Burnett will throw a gem on Sunday.

I hate the Red Sox as much as the next guy but for them to be only 5 behind the Yankees with the injuries theyve had is absolutely amazing. Tremendous job by those sickening fucks

That's all on Gardner--he never runs until deep into counts. The guy is fast as lightning, but unfortunately he's not actually a great base runner.

I like River Ave Blues a lot better.
