Well, wasn't C Washington having trouble understanding the offense on HK's? McKnight too. RB's get hurt often. If Greene gets hurt... McKnight? Connor? Scary thoughts. Woodhead is what he is, a hard working marginal player, but I though CW was a bit more than that. I just don't like being this thin at RB.
I think it is a by-product of Hard Knocks. These guys got a lot more exposure than they otherwise would have.
They were saying C Washington was struggling with the mental part, yes. But I mean we're talking about it being a mistake that he's gone so if that's a problem for a new guy than it's no different w/the guy we lost. It seemed like both Washington and Woodhead are hard workers. There's something to be said for that, but I'll be there are another hundred hard working young running backs that are marginal NFL talents we can call up who would be happy to be signed to our practice squad. I don't remember hearing about McKnight struggling with the mental aspect, mostly just fumbling.
You're preachin to the choir Tbird. It would be a pleasant surprise of LT is playing this way in Dec. but the reality might well be us depending on SG who seems to be a bit injury prone (notice I didn't say "soft").
It's a shame to have lost Chauncey here, but I think we will find help if needed, and it will be found right away.
Ian Johnson was just cut. Wouldn't surprise me if he gets added to the PS, or another RB floating around. With Johnson, if we ever needed him we could just run the SOL play and watch after the game as he impregnated his wife on the sideline.
In a pinch, Braylon could play running back. The way he does the "Dougie" shows he's already got the moves.
