If only Rex had those cover corners he so desires in his system. Then the cover zero approach might stop more 3rd and longs.

    What's zero coverage anyway?

    So strictly man-to-man?

I'm calling a 3 point game in this one. We're obviously more than 3 points better than the Broncos but I just see a shootout here.

I suppose you could run a man/zone with zero coverage. You could run straight zone with zero coverage too but it's probably not too smart.

For the most part, I'd say you're seeing straight man-to-man when zero coverage is on.

34-10 jets win. I think the game will be alot like the ravens vs. broncos except i feel the jets are a better team and more dangerous on offense and defense. Then again im biased.

Broncos 30 3 td 3 fg (game winning fg in overtime)
    Jets 27 3 td 2 fg

I do not feel good about this game at all. It's either a blow-out win for us or the Broncos win I think. If we run the ball down their throat it should be something along the lines of 21-10 Jets but if the offense can't find it's rhythm the Broncos will probably torch us in the passing game. We'll end up playing keep up at Mile High on short rest.. I don't think we can pull that off. Prater with a 40 yd kick in overtime seals it.

Cromartie will have at least 1 INT, it will be the game changer.

I think it would be really smart to start Shonn Greene and John Conner for this game.

Give the ball to Greene with Conner lead blocking the first three plays of the game. I wouldn't be disappointed to see Hunter or Hartsock start on Sunday, either.

Just send a couple wrecking balls into this fractured defense early and see what breaks.

I like the way they mixed up the blitzes against good passing teams while Revis was hurt. I think they need a good mix of blitzing and double coverages to throw them off.

When the schedule first came out, I was really worried about this game.

Now that it's here, I'm not as concerned as I was initially.

Sanchez seems to always play his best coming off a poor week.

They are missing tons of defenders, and can't stop the run anyway. This just plays to our strengths.

They also have a horrible O-Line, and are completely one dimensional on offense.

I don't care if they drop back and pass 50+ if they have that many plays, that won't work against this D.

I expect a ground and pound day and a real solid completion %/QB rating from Sanchize.

The one concern I do have though is a short week coming off a late game, and traveling to Mile High.

This makes it even more important for us to pound the ball and keep our D off the field.

Good point, and I believe Rex said the same thing in an interview, close to it anyway.
Ground and pound, the longer the drive the better.

    Poor "weak"...??? SPELLING THREAD

TOP is paramount against Orton. But I think Bey Bey Thomas might be out too, and Moreno is still iffy. Thomas had a concussion last week.

Their offense is hurt, the defense is going to be invisible. I don't get how ball control doesn't get done.... Schotty better not even come close to being cutesy this week. 44 throws in the rain on Monday still is annoying me, especially when the run game put up 150+ and the Jets led all game. You run the goddamn ball and keep running off tackle, which worked all day. But I digress.

This is the game for Shonn to start because he can beat up these LBs and when they are tired, put in the HOFer and let LT cut around them and take it to the house.

They are doing the opposite. Green comes in after Thomlinsone. I like that way just fine. With the burst Thomlinsone has been showing early, Green, coming in late after the D is tired, is a monster.

Thomlinsone is more apt to be effective on a rested D then Green. It is just that his cutbacks are just gashing D's in the beginning of the game. Not many want to tackle a well rested Green at the end of a game.

For those keeping track, Denvers D is 26th against the run in total yds per game, in ypc they are 22nd.

I know they are doing the opposite, but I wanna see this happen.

What happens when you let the bruiser wear everyone down and then they have to deal with a speedy RB with insane cutback ability?

You're too tired to take the angle and get to him, you're not going to set the edge quick enough, etc.

I wanna see my way happen. Good defense to do it on.
