where do you access the live stream of the p.conference? I would much rather watch it live and in its entirety then waiting until I get home and pull it up on my Tivo - thanks in advance! PS - I have said it before, and I will continue to say.... IN REX WE TRUST!!!!
Funny quote- "RichCimini Rich Cimini Trevor Pryce on what Buddy Ryan might say to sons Rex and Rob: "First one to play zone is out of the will." #Jets"
and to all of you who are saying how much you love rex, try to remember that when we dont play well a game or two and are questioning his every decision. dude is the man and we are lucky to have him as hc
*I figured I'd post this here instead of starting a new thread on it* Today, I heard, what I thought, was the perfect illustration of the difference between Herman Edwards' and Rex Ryan's mentalities. Herm was on The Herd, and they were discussing 6-win teams at the halfway point etc. Herm proceeds to say: (Colin Cowherd said that this year, in the AFC, 10 may not be good enough, and that's why Herm emphasized "usually.") The point is, can you ever imagine Rex shooting for .500? Herm just blatantly admitted that would be his goal going forward from this point in the season. I think if you approached Rex with that premise, he'd tell you to GTFO. Seems like a random post, but again, when I heard that, I thought it was the perfect representation of winner-v-loser mentality.
^^ Good point, that is a really dumb mentality to have in any sport, especially for a former player/coach.
So who still thinks Herm was a good coach? I've thought about that, "oh look, .500 ball gets a wild card........fuck that, this is the Rex Ryan Jets. 13-3 looks possible too motherfucker." Its amazing what a coach can do for your confidence.
Interesting - or should I say laughably - I briefly heard Herm's name mentioned as a possibility for the Cowboys HC job. Doubt it holds water though.
If Jerry Jones picks Herm, he should sell the Cowboys. Then again, Jerry likes his coaches to be controllable, so this doesn't surprise me.
