I like that route he ran... the deep out. He didn't give anything away when stopping, he kept his hands close to his body and just did a great job on it. Not bad for a tall guy... Could be a great red zone target until Cotch gets back, curious to see if they involve him a bit more on Thur.

His most impressive play was when Sanchez threw the interception. Look at that guy's hustle.

That's who that was, I couldn't figure it out because I was yelling and throwing things but yeah now that you mention it that was a HUGE play!

Gotta love his size and he did run that route very clean. Sanchez loves him from their USC days as well. He has at least one more game where he will have plenty of opportunities to get on the field. Let's see what he does.

It would be great if he can work his way up the roster and have a permanent place on this team. I honestly think Brad Smith will get a decent offer somewhere else next year....if it happens and he's gone we're gonna need a 4th WR.

That was a nice route. Let's hope he keeps getting chances to catch balls.

The other angle is that it might be impossible to keep both S. Holmes and B. Edwards, and I think it's safe to say that if we HAD to choose one it would he Holmes... so an opening for a tall dynamic receiver could be available for Mr. Turner...

Yes I know, Turner is NOT B. Edwards at least not now, but it could influence things if he makes some plays.

I don't think I can tell much after one catch.

I was going to post something similar. Obviously he isn't anywhere near Edwards right now but he has the physical attributes to be the same type of threat. It would be nice if the coaching staff could develop him to the point that keeping Edwards isn't a necessity.

sort of on topic, last year the night before the draft, I attended a meet and greet with Matthew Stafford and Mark Sanchez(it was sponsored by Sprint and NFL network and my bestfriend works for sprint so thats why i was able to go). Mind you little did I know Sanchez was gonna end up a Jet(he himself said that he thought the Seahawks were gonna draft him cause his agent was heavy into contract discussions). Rich Eisen was hosting/interviewing and we(the 20 or so people that got to go) got a chance to ask them a question. Of course most of the people were asking stupid questions like "whats the first thing youre gonna buy" or directed toward Stafford "has anyone told you you look like John Elway", etc. The question I asked them was "if you could have any team mate drafted with you, who would it be?" Figured that was a good answer cause both USC and Georgia were pretty stacked that year. Rich Eisen gave me my props saying that was a great question. Stafford said Massaquoi and surprisingly Sanchez said Turner. Even Rich Eisen called him out on that saying "over all the USC linebackers, over Taylor Mays?" and Sanchez was completely gushing over Patrick Turner talking about how hes raw but has a ridiculous ceiling and he already has good chemistry with him. So maybe Sanchez can help him develop

    exactly.

He's a big dude, so its easy to fall in love with his size on the field.

If he grows into anything its a plus for the WR depth.

Its going to be hard for him to stick when Cotch comes back because I believe he is a poor special teams player.

It depends if there is someone else they can put back on the squad.

I just don't see anyone else since the team is protecting Cumberland from being on the PS.

At the very least, Turner might prove he is worth holding onto for another year. Sanchez can hopefully vogue for him.

Seems like it might be time to activate him depending on Woody's injury.

Considering he saw the field and made a catch, I'll chalk that up to progress.

He's a giant body for a WR. 6'5 220. If he learns to get separation, he can be mean over the middle.

He's got a ways to go though

I like his size and he's worked with Sanchez before. If he can hold on to a roster/practice squad spot then hopefully he can develop into something. For now, I just hope he plays like a decent 4th WR.
