We had an excellent season , this is one of if not the worst losses as a Jets fan I have ever seen. We came so close but remember we have a young team that has yet to mold like the more elite teams we see in the NFL. We've gone to TWO AFC championship games with a 2 year QB who has barely scratched the surface of his potential. We need to re-group, draft well, sign some new guys to the team, and we can become a great team for the future. Keep your heads up Jets fans, we have a bright future as shitty as it may seem now. Just always remember why you love this team. :jets:
well, this is the worst loss i have experienced as Jets fan. This was our game to win, if we play even semi-inspired ball in the first half, we walk out winners. If the headsets don't go out, we walk away winners. If we could have stopped the run in the first half. If on 2nd and 7 pool is able to knock that ball away from miller (missed by an inch damnit)Or if westerman blocks that punt (missed by maybe 2 inches) If... If... If... we were so close, and yet we just couldn't find a way to get it done. But after that terrible first half we fought like hell, and that makes me proud as can be. Not as proud as if we could have pulled it off, but still pretty damn proud.
Thank you. I'm tired of this damn pity party. We're all upset, we're all pissed. We don't need to hear how or why everybody feels the way they do. Right now I'm going back in my mind through all the great moments of this season. Sanchez out-dueling Brady twice and JT's sack, LT rushing for 130 against Buffalo, Dwight Lowery closing out games, Santonio bringing in the catch for the W vs Houston, Sanchez's bootleg vs Pitt, Folk's kick, Harris' pick, and mostly returning to the AFC Championship Game. This is what we need to take away from Jets 2010-11. It was a hell of a ride, and I will remember this season for a while.
i was very impressed and encouraged by how mark sanchez played tonight. i think he will be even better next year. one of the main issues i think needs to be addressed in the offseason is figuring out how to get this offense started QUICKLY. even at 17-0 i still had faith that they might pull it out, but they need to get on the board first more often.
A bright future means nothing... A lot has to happen throughout the season just to get back to the AFC championship. We have made it to the AFC championship game and not one Super Bowl appearance to show for it.
I'm spent to, its just to hard to take it. Last year I was over the loss in a matter of hours. This year its going to hurt all offseason. This was our year. We had such a special team. It sucked to see it end in Pittsburgh. Now we have to wait ANOTHER year just to get another shot. A whole damn year. We coulda ended everything in 2 weeks. ugh.
Like I said just keep your heads up, getting all pissy a dramatic isnt going to take us anywhere, lets take a new path and say HEY ya kno what we had a good season and will be better in the future. We love this team because it carries so much heart and meaning to be a Jets fan. Stay confident, its hard to be excited for a new season but we just need to be positive instead of all that negative "same old Jets" bullshit mentality. Were an EXCELLENT team and were not going downhill for a LONG time.
