Sanchez's struggle with Jets is well documented. How about getting him a new QB coach? Last time I checked, Paul Hackett is still unemployed. He was instrumental in developing a lot of good QBs, and he made a chicken soup out of chicken shit in Jason Campbell, as of his last achievement. So... what say you?
No. No thanks. First of all Jason Campbell was a first-round quarterback that was drafted by the likes of Joe Gibbs and then had the unfortunate bad luck of being coached by Jim Zorn, not to mention KILLED by his offensive line. Sanchez isn't even close to the reason why the Jets are 2-3. I can't believe it's gotten so bad people are advocating the return of Paul Hackett in any capacity but toilet cleaner.
Cavanaugh never coached Flacco in Baltimore and hadn't been with the team since the 2004 season. We got him from the University of Pittsburg where he was OC under Dave Wanntsedt.
Mind is a terrible thing to waste. Educating yourself does not cost you much on this board, does it? Or surfing the web for information, for that matter, costs you exactly nothing (other than the internet connection and electricity.)
...What? Your thinly veiled attempt at an insult notwithstanding, what makes Paul Hackett more qualified to coach Sanchez then Cavanaugh? Joe Montana would've been Joe Montana with or without Paul Hackett. And the example you cite shows how weak your argument is. Hackett spent one year with Campbell, and in that year Campbell played so well he was benched for Gradkowski. Get your facts straight before you question my intelligence. Especially if you're going to waste everyone's time with this garbage. In no way should Paul Hackett come anywhere near any Jets facility. If he shops at the Short Hills Mall it's too close.
I could've sworn I heard people talking about the QB coach being the same one that helped develop Flacco. Guess I was wrong.
