no kidding... that question is getting annoying at this point. i've seen it asked a ton of times so far
I totally agree!! I also think that Mangini is just letting Martin's knee get some needed extra rest, instead of having him out there running two a days!! I feel that once the two a days are over you'll see Martin out there running around again! or atleast I hope so!
Martin is known for his offseason routines. Stair climbing, for example. Playing hurt does not phase him, and Mangini knows Martin has self conditioned himself. I am pretty sure Martin will be back before camp is over..just giving him a few more days until he can be limited involvement.
That was last year when not only did we have no passing game but by midseason absolutely no offensive line .They had third string guys in there right before he got hurt. Last year was no way to tell if he has lost a step or two. However if it looks like our new line is gonna need some time together to gel. Then I would bring in the other guys . Lots of if's this year.
Curtis has 3,518 carries under his belt. Offhand there are no guys that I can think of that entered a season with more than 3500 carries who were ever effective again. Payton came close, he had one season left in him when he entered 1986 with 3,351 carries in him. It wasn't a Walter Payton season but it wasn't garbage either. Emmitt Smith went into 2001 with 3,537 carries. He got his 1,000 in 2002 but with a 3.9 average and 3 TD's. He was cooked and the Cowboys forgot to turn off the oven.
