Let's talk wild-card. Would it be better to win the division? Yeah... but the most important thing is to get into the play-offs. Once you're in anything can happen... wether you actually deserve to be in or not.

    AFC West:
This div is a joke, it will already be a miracle if the team that wins the division can get to 10-6. And I don't care what team it is... the WC isn't coming from here.

    AFC South:
The Texans (7-3) will probably win it here (JAC, ATL, CIN, CAR, IND, TEN).
Titans (5-4) are a team to look out for. They play (ATL, TB, BUF, NO, JAC, IND, HOU) and are 4-4 in the conference like us.
Jaguars & Colts are already out of the play-off picture.

I think the Titans will lose at least 2 and have a 10-6 record at best. Unfortunately for us their hard games are vs NFC opponents so, if we finish 10-6, they will be the ones going through. Fingers crossed they go 9-7!
Texans are already in the POs for me...

    AFC North:
Steelers (7-3) look like the best team right now. (KC, CIN, CLE, SF, STL, CLE) & 5-3 in the conference.
Ravens (6-3) lose to bad teams and beat good teams. (CIN, SF, CLE, IND, SD, CLE, CIN) & 4-2 in the conference.
Bengals (6-3) biggest surprise. Rookie wall ahead for Dalton & Green? (BAL, CLE, PIT, HOU, STL, ARI, BAL) & 5-2 in div.

My prediction is the Steelers take the div and the two match-ups between the Bengals & the Ravens decide who gets the #5 WC. One team will get to 11-5.

    AFC East:
Patriots take the div. Easy schedule (KC, PHI, IND, WAS, DEN, MIA, BUF) ahead and advantage over us.

Jets play (DEN, BUF, WAS, KC, PHI, NYG, MIA) so, assuming we beat the Bills we should be able to easily get to 10-6. Would it be enough to get to the play-offs? In my opinion no because of the Titans record inside the conference and their schedule. We'll have to go 11-5 to be guaranteed a spot.
Bills play (MIA, NYJ, TEN, SD, MIA, DEN, NE) it is crucial to beat them and have the advantage over them. If that happens I'm sure they'll find a way to lose another game.

So all in all root for the Titans to lose as many as they can and for the Jets to beat the Bills... also the Bengals are the ones with the harder schedule so hope they lose next week and ultimately finish in 3rd place.

As for us, 11-5 & we'in, 10-6 and it depends on the Titans & the Buffalo game.

    AdamSchefter Adam Schefter
Bills center Eric Wood, arguably Buffalo's best offensive lineman, tore his ACL Sunday and will miss the rest of the season.

    This helps...

This loss was tough but our schedule is easy the rest of the way, we'll probably lose to the Giants, maybe the Eagles, but we can also go 7-0, let's see.

Not really we will beat the Jets at home regardless they suck donkey dicks. Cowboys just destroyed them and they will most likely finish 7-9 or 8-8.

The Bengals are the team I'm really afraid of. They remind me of us back in 09. It will all come down to whether the Ravens have a playoff spot locked up by week 17, because if they do they will probably rest their starters and give them an easy win. 11-5 is what we have to aim for, if that lose is to come it has to come from the Eagles so our conference record is good.

Agreed. 12-4 and 11-5 can be reached, and that would guarantee a WC spot. The minimum this team should get is 10-6 and in that case it's time to do some math in terms of other opponents record.

When we beat ourselves, it doesn't matter how soft the schedule is.

    why does it matter.

unless we become a completely different team by playoffs we won't do anything because we can't score.

what makes anyone believe that we could compete with a team like Green Bay?

We could have the greatest defense known to man and still loose games 9-0 like last year.

until we become an elite offense that can score on anyone we will never do anything.. like ive said a thousand times.. yet everyone talks about playoffs like our problems will get fixed. they won't get fixed. they'll just be masked by playing bad teams and less mistakes.

We are currently the first team out. However we NEED to win the Den game. A loss drops us behind TEN win or lose as they are playing an NFC team, probably Buffalo who I expect to beat Miami. Denver themselves will move past us. KC would also pass us with a win over NE.

Totally agree. If we play as dumb as we did last night even the Colts beat us.

We'll go 10-6 or 11-5, get a wild card, beat some shit team with an easy schedule (Bengals?) and then blow up against the Steelers/Ravens/Pats as usual.

I hate being that douche...but this. I disagree in that we don't need to be an elite offense but until our offense clicks, does it really matter if we make the play offs? We're not beating the Patriots or Greenbay until our offense fucking snaps out of it.

Luckily, we still have a lot of time to snap the fuck out of it.

We are 5-4 and three loses came from just not playing well, it happens, this season has been fucked for every team because of no offseason and not too many people seem to understand that, especially the media, which really boggles my mind. Yesterday was really the first game the team just outright made a lot of mistakes, before that the offensive line was playing so awful it was hard to win, but now, just mistakes all over the place.

....which equates to a level playing field.
We are not as good as we think we are, and crucially some of our most important 'pieces' think they are ...
We couldn't pass against the leagues worst pass Defense, you can make any argument you like, the score remains the same.

We can't make the playoffs if BAL, PIT and CIN all do. If we make it likely as the last wild card , we play the 3 seed which is either NE, Hou or the NFC north champs (likely PItt), the other wild card plays the west champ.

We can make it, but I doubt 10-6 makes it for us this year. If we assume the Pats win the east, AFC West champs, Houston in the South, One of PIT, BAL, CIncy in the north. That leaves the other two North teams, Us, Bills, Tenn and the other two teams in the west all fighting for 2 spots, all within a game of each other either way. If 10-6 makes it, we might not have tiebreakers over several of those teams.

This Pats team are crap, and yes I know we lost to a crap team, they are just as hot and cold as we are, so I don't think its a given that the Pats win AFCE, not just yet

What does that make the Jets?

That "crap" Pats team has won their last 3 regular season games against the Jets by a combined score of 114-40.

Shame you couldn't wait to read the whole sentence.

...and our D is meant to be premier...

You do realize that the Pats "crap" defense has given up the EXACT amount of points that the Jets "premier" defense has this year????
