What the hell is with parking at the stadium this year? I found out the morning of the game that you need to have prepaid parking in order to park at the stadium. My Dad had season tickets for twenty years and this was never the case. Because of this I had to go online and spend $45!!!! on parking. I get to the stadium at 10:20 and they make me park in the farthest lot. The one that has the buses take you to the stadium. $45 for to park 15 minutes away????? /Rant
I remember going to my first Jets game and when the bus, I'm not sure if we took the wrong one, dropped us off in the middle of the high way. Luckily we found a cabby who drove us to the game for 2$. They need a train that goes from NYC to the stadium like they do in Hoboken, but my room mate said they actually have one now (not sure if true? I haven't been to a jets game in a while).
I sold my parking pass for $35 - better to drink beers on the bus and utilize their always spotless bathrooms.
I forgot what its called but if you are coming from 17 and use the first entrance to the stadium, its the first lot on the left about a mile and a quarter from the stadium.
Dude if your gonna take the bus from the opposite side anyway, it makes much more sense to just park at one of the shops/gas stations on the way into the stadium (forget the name of the road leading up to the stadium). But literally its 10 dollars to park with transportation to and from the stadium (bus), and you dont have to worry about parking in the lot and dealing with the traffic on the way out. On the other hand, if you insist on parking at the stadium due to tailgating etc, than you should definitely park in the lot right next to the Izod center. this lot is by far the most convienent to get out of when leaving the stadium and its a nice place to tailgate....also if you arent a lazy bum its pretty easy to just walk across the tunnel that links the 2 sides of the road. Also I think your misinformed about the "pre-paid" parking, the Jets have been doing this for a few years now, they started just including it in the price of the season tickets because they didnt want their attendants dealing with alot of cash, and because it speeds up the process of getting into the lot.
They do have this train, started last year. Problem is so many people take it that there is over an hour wait after the game to get on. It is actually still faster to take the bus if you are coming from NYC. Although either wya you are waiting for a long ass time either way.
This season I bought 4 total parking passes on ticket exchange and they were all $35 each. You got screwed buddy.
