2011 was a tough year, and 8-8 is a major disappointment as well as the meltdowns of some players, and the lack of composure from Sanchez.

But I have been through years past, but for me this one is so much worse.

I can handle all the other stuff, but what I cannot accept is the lack of ownership and accountability that Rex and Tanny have taken of this situation and the completely delusional and insulting spin these two have taken in their post season comments.

I have literally gone from being super pro-Rex to actually wanting him and the entire coaching staff gone.

Rex has made it clear that he has no idea what is going on with his team, is completely divorced from the offense and is essentially just a defensive coordinator.

Tannenbaum thinks he has done everything right, and plans to keep THE COACHING STAFF THE SAME. Wow. With the exception of the Kerley draft pick, EVERY move he has made has been awful. But he refuses to even acknowledge it. He shows no accountability for his mistakes and has taken no ownership of the situation.

All he has done is spew this completely delusional and insulting drivel about how everything is great and I guess that means that Gremlins or something ruined our season.

Listen to Tomlin when they screw up. He takes ownership of it (for real, not the BS Rex Ryan "it's on me" words) and action to correct it.

Instead we have this political bean counter and a brilliant defensive mind who like his dad cannot manage the head coaching position effectively.

Unfortunately, I think that the last couple of years were an illusion, and not at all what we can expect going forward.

As long as Tanny, Rex and Schott stay we will continue to spiral further and further down. This will end badly.

trickle down effectis in full blast. leadership has to be respected and feared, i dont believe Rex has either. The proof is in the penalties and the response to his public plea for unity. although Rex has the winning advantage over Herm and Mangini its clear he doesnt have the respect that Herm had nor the presence of fear that Mangini had.

The thing that you might not realize though is that while Tanny has PUBLICLY stated that Rex is doing the right things and all that....in Private, he has read Rex the Riot Act. And I wouldn't be surprised if Rex's job was on the line next season.

I have never really liked Tanny. Something weird about him. I think he should be the one to go. Its like he can do no wrong in Woody's eyes. He should have been shown the door with mangini. He treats draft picks like candy and gives them away leaving this organization with precious few every year.IMO

Schotty (I hope) will get hired as a head coach somewhere.

Rex needs to stop being everybody's friend and be the coach. Tell his players to pull their heads out and demand discipline from his player. Stop being Mr. Nice guy and kick some ass Rex. Clean up the mess and just don't sweep it under the rug to fester.

This is the kinda post that makes me think Jet fans deserve to have an endless cycle of Mangini/Edwards/Kotite types running the team.

We just have to hope as fans, that Tanny and Rex have some sort of common knowledge of what has caused this season to end up the way it did and how bad of shape the team currently is in. Any person from the outside looking in can realize it, so we just gotta think and hope that these post season comments are just bull shit and that they are getting down to business behind closed doors.

Tannenbaum can't survive a second failed coaching hire. If Rex goes, he goes. Of course he's going to support him.

This whole thread is a fucking joke. If Rex Ryan was not here this is a 6-10 football team, look past his fodder and he is a god damn good football coach. His lack of micromanagement worked against him this season because the awful offensive production created turmoil between the players (notably the Receiving core) and the QB not being able to execute causing a complete meltdown that came to a head these past few weeks.

His lack of pulse of the OFFENSIVE squad and not having a leash on Schotty caused it to blow up since some of the turmoil was between the offensive players and the OC, showing Schotty couldn't handle it or resolve the problems.

Jet fans like this make me want to blow my brains out, are you serious? Yeah lets fire the first real football coach we've had since Parcells...for what? Next Patriot OC failure? Maybe a disciplinarian since Rex is too lose?

Did it ever occur to anyone that Rex may rip the shit out of this team in private and not bash anyone in public, ever? Unwritten rule of protecting the locker room?

Mr. T deserves a hell of a lot of blame for this past offseason, but look at his track record and he has acquired talent. Furthermore, look at his track record following a disappointing season, we will not stay put, we will put together a team that will compete as we have done these past 3 years in Rex's era.

Everyone step away from the computer for a few weeks and come back when you can complete a RATIONAL thought.

I can't believe someone mentioned Rex and Herm/Mangini...AYFS?!?!?!?!

Another 6 weeks or so until the impassioned speeches about fraudulance cease. This team is not in as bad shape as it seems.

Since when do Tanny's words matter? Last year he said he expects Kerry Rhodes on the roster for 2010 then shipped him out the next day.

I've been a Tanny supporter, but his drafts haven't been as good as they were when Mangini was here. That's a concern I have.

Don't forget we have a locker room full of Victor Cruz type players.

    It's all good.

we just don't have a fanbase that deserves a winner, these responses are beyond ridiculous. You would think we went 4-12 last year and haven't made the playoffs in 10 years.
