Funny how I went point by point and rebutted your argument and you keep ignoring the facts I presented and keep coming up with more crap. How is a 99 TD in which a WR does what he is supposed to do and elude tackles and run fast luck? PLEASE answer that.
Key players ? Those guys all fucking suck. Hixon is what like their 6th string WR, Thomas is a joke, the Giants LBers are all mostly terrible and get carried by their dominant defensive line. Bradshaw was their only significant injury and he was healthy for the home stretch. Start talking when Eli cruz nicks go down, because thats what your team has evolved into.
Considering the number of big plays by Cruz, that's not accurate. 99 yard plays rarely occur because offenses are not usually backed up to the 1 yard line and don't usually have the ability to run "deep" plays when they are. He caught the pass (for a first) then used change of direction to elude the tacklers and used his speed to run the rest of the distance. That was not luck. You are just using luck as a coping mechanism which is obvious because you also think that won the game.
Yeah again the Giants were basically shutdown to that play, and I think that play is pretty irrelevant in the greater scheme of things. The fact is most of those other examples were straight up luck, and its funny how terrified the little fan of Cmen is of Rex that hes gotta come troll the Jets boards. Even after winning a superbowl still terrified of losing NY to rexy, pathetic tbh
they won the Super Bowl, nothing else matters. there is no way to spin that into criticism of the team or insults to the fans.
Thomas is a 2 rounder who was their best starter at CB. He had 5 ints in each of the last two seasons and if you watched the games you would know he was arguably the best tackler on the defense. Please provide facts other than "he's a joke". Boley is terrible? In what league? It wasn't a coincidence that they were losing when he was injured and they had inexperienced LBs blowing coverage. He was obviously very important to the defense in that everyone on the team referred to him as the QB of the defense. Hixon is their starting returner which means that anyone in his place was the back up. According to you, having a back up returner is lucky for the other team. Hixon is not the best returner but very very solid no doubt. 2 returning TDs and a career 25 yard kickoff return average which trumps his back ups. Bradshaw was not healthy down the stretch. Where did you get that from? He was held out of practice through the Super Bowl and has a fracture in his foot that is not healed. Can you please use facts instead of "he sucks" or "he's a joke". You are embarrassing yourself.
Sure it is, winning doesn't give you respect. Its how you win that earns respect. In 07 Strahans giants earned respect by going on the road and doing some tough shit. They got the credit they deserved. This years Cmens were a bunch of whiney self entitled punks who cried on and off all season for their coach to be fired, and didnt earn shit. Nothing they did this year impressed anyone, and they did nothing to earn nuffin. I understand that you might enjoy kissing Coughlins rings, but give it 2-3 years without the Cmen winning a playoff game again and their fans will be begging for him to get fired or to retire yet again
Yet you used it as an example, I rebutted your other weak arguments to. You fail to use facts or logic. I'm on here because I think it's funny that jet fans were all over the Giants boards and now you guys are getting it back. The difference is, the Giants won it all. Never been scared of the jets, because in the end...they are the same ol' jets. That's why that haven't been to a Super Bowl in 43 years and haven't beat the Giants in over 15 years. The jets are a joke now. They got "lucky" (am I using it correctly) and backed in the playoffs one year and failed the next year. That was the basis of their success.
Dude theres no reason to get upset that the Cmen are still the 2nd best franchise in NY. You should be proud that your team got extraordinarily lucky, and it bought you guys a few more years to cherish not being completely irrelevant. Try to enjoy it while it last instead of spending it arguing that your franchise isn't completely irrelevant. The truth hurts, accept it and move on.
hahahaha, yes...because 1 sb in 43 years, less division titles, winning seasons, playoff appearances, head to head wins is better than 1 sb championship in each of the last 4 decades, 5 conference championships, more division titles, playoff appearances and head to head wins. the jets have NEVER been relevant which is why you guys celebrated like crazy when you lost two straight conference championship games. Also, speaking of luck...were the jets lucky when Romo made bone head plays against them in the first game of the year? do you obsess over the jets luck too? should they not count that as a win? jets got breaks and STILL couldn't beat the Giants. good job not being able to debate.
Sure Romo made some boneheaded plays absolutely. The Jets were a trash team this year and still went 8-8. The fact is id better every and anything in the world that the Jets will have a better record next year and more success in the post season when the Cmen miss the playoffs in typical fashion. Keep living in the past, because Rexy is the future
the past as in current SB Champions. Rex lost the locker room and Coughlin is a better all around coach. Typical fashion? The Giants make the playoffs at a higher rate than the jets and maybe you can MAKE the playoffs again in typical jets fashion. You know, having teams rest their starters the final two games. is that luck?
Comparing the Welker catch to Samuels is faulty at best. IF Welker makes that catch the game is most likely over. I don't even see how this is debatable. The Pats were already in FG range, there would have been less than 4 minutes left on the clock, and the Giants had 1 TO left. 1-2 more first downs and it's over. Worst case, Gostowski kicks a FG forcing Eli to get a TD with little time left on the clock (under 2 min). That was your best case scenario. And I never once resorted to all the other hypotheticals you played into to. I merely pointed out the facts. If Welker makes that catch your win probability falls to under 10%. I don't see how thats me resorting to flimsy 'ifs' unless you think a 10% chance of winning is something that is easily achievable.
Coughlin is Belichick lite. He used to build his teams around defense, now hes just getting lazy and building his entire team around the QB. And is an creepy old dude with no personality The Cmen playoff history is checkered in the Eli manning era, however they do have 2 superbowl titles in that span (one earned, one completely lucked out into). Meanwhile Rex has 3 seasons, none of them losing seasons, with a young baby qb who has a long way to go. And last time I checked the Jets demolished the Bengals on the road the next week (and their starters were even fully rested at that point !) and Peyton got pulled vs the Jets because the Colts realized resistance was futile. The Rex Ryan era has begun, the Cmen can take pride in being second best. After all NY has a large market
You paint such a pathetic picture of the Jets...yet in the midst of what I'd imagine is pandemonium for your Giant fandom..you are on a Jets board..arguing about an 8-8 football team. What am I missing here? Are you really that insecure & small?
who gives a shit about respect? when the Jets win a Super Bowl it won't matter one bit to me whether anyone respects it. the victory is all that matters. respect is just your attempt to disguise your jealousy.
