Hopefully Josh Brown beats out Folk. As for Punter news, it looks like the Jets should be pursuing whichever Punters that Detroit and Pittsburgh cut.
The Jets plan on winning 16-13 score ranged games. With playing games that close, you can't have a margin for botched FG's, and need the ability to pull off a long one every once in awhile. Kicking Touchbacks is also important for field position. Our ST needs to have a very big year for the type of ball the Jets want to play. All that said, i feel Brown is the best option unless someone good gets unexpectedly cut. For Punter, i like the guy in Oakland.
If you watched the last game its like Conley knows the axe is coming, his punting was the worse I have seen in a long time. He knows his days are numbered here.. Yes the guy from Oak would be much better.. Lets wait for the cutting to begin. Go Jets
Marquette King looked great. He's not going to be on their 53-man, because obviously they have Lechler.
Yea Im really hoping the Jets pick him up. I wish they would just offer Oakland a 7th or something to get him here. As for kicker Brown is good on the kickoffs but hasn't he done really poor with field goals.
This kid, we should have drafted him: http://www.twincities.com/vikings/ci_21344464/tom-powers-vikings-blair-walsh-showing-lot-leg
You can rest assured the rest of the league is aware of what King is doing. Jets are 16th in the pecking order for waiver claims so half the league would have to pass on him before the Jets get their shot at him. He will punt in the NFL this year.
the Jets should offer a pick for him before he hits waivers-----what other punters might be out there ?
Conley actually isnt a bad punter, he is having a rough patch atm, question is when can he get out of the slump? The Jets should be working out free agent punters behind the scenes anyways just to have a bit of an idea whats out there if the time comes, one thing is for sure, there are plenty of good punters out there looking for a job
