I'm only down with bringing in T.O if we bring in Ocho as well. If you're going to create a zoo, you need all of the animals.
Let be real here it CAN'T get no more of a zoo since we got Tebow. Plus if u guys have been watching TO this preseason he still got something left.
The problem with most of u guys on here u look at how TO was 5 years ago when it comes to his mouth. They had no problem with him in Buffalo,Cin and Seattle. He knows he got maybe 2 years left and if it true he needs the money then we will keep quite. He still got the speed to get open and we need that bad why we wait on Hill. It nothing but a win win for us.
He couldn't even make the first cut. In Seattle. I think the problem is you look at how TO was 5 years ago when it comes to his level of play.
Yeah....and he'll keep that huddle stable and quiet should things go south for HIM, esp. for our beleaguered QB. None of this Tone/WFH nonsense in the huddle like last year. ....
Don't worry, I picked up the sarcasm. I think? I don't think T.O. was cut because he couldn't be their third or fourth guy. He was dropped because that is what he could have been. Usually you don't keep three receivers on a team that can't contribute on ST's (Braylon, Rice, and T.O.). It would be a wasted roster spot because his contribution would not be that significant. T.O. was basically fighting for his job against Braylon and who knew, B-Easy beat him out. FU Tanny!
The other player dropped in Seattle today, OT Alex Barron, stands a chance of a tryout. TO, not so much.
So what he droped a few in preseason.I mean. It's just practice. They liked braylon better that's why.Blame tanny for not reaching out to BE this offseason. He gonna tear it up.That's what i am mad at.Not even a "Hey braylon what's up".Nothing.and I still think T.O. is better then ocho.
Hi b.reyes16, I was intrigued looking at all 3 of the wide receiver free agent triumvirate (Moss, Edwards, Owens). Personally, i wouldn't have minded a '2010' Braylon Edwards jump-ball option from 30-40 yards out on the final 53-man roster let alone a '2011' Plexico-type 10 yard fade threat (btw, has anyone grabbed Plex yet?..if not, why?). Anyway, looking at the trio, the 49'ers Randy Moss looks like he still has sub-4.5 wheels and Braylon looks like he can still play jump ball 1-on-1. As for Terrell Owens? .... Frankly, I hadn't seen enough of him in Seattle. Yes, Terrell is always in great shape but I'm also a tad leery having heard "rumors" (granted, maybe b.s.) from Seattle camp saying that T.O. is prone to whining if he doesn't get his way...besides that perfectly thrown bomb that he flat out dropped. Again, I'm not putting much stock in this, just saying the Jets don't really have any wiggle room for needless discord in the huddle even in the face of injury-prone earlier pickups such as Schillens who've at least a head start on learning the playbook.
He could bump Turner right now. Owens had more YPC on Sat than the whole Jets team this preseason. I would kick the tires.
Sign TO. We have no receivers. He still has sub 4.5 speed and can stretch the field. We have Holmes, and nobody else proven. Bring in TO See what he can do, he's gonna be cheap.
and why is unproven worse than someone who has proven he cannot play any longer? please explain why you would prefer someone who can't play over someone who may be able to play?
imagine if both TO and johnson sign here? we'd have more drama than the jersey shore and keeping up with the kardashians combined!
