^^This^^ If the Jets want respect, they have to earn it. Nothing I've seen in this off season has screamed play-off football team. I think they can be, they do have a good deal of talent, but they need to get it done on the field to change the minds of the media critics.
These talking heads also ignore that about a third of the points scored against Jets were given up by the offense, not defense. (I believe Jets offense gave up the most points last season, and by HUGE margin.)
Hahaha. Sal on ESPN just said this is a "must win" for the Jets as they can't go 0-2 into Miami. Sure Sal
Doesn't matter. Even if we score more points, it's already a loss in the books. That makes us 0-6 heading into Miami because we have no shot at the first 2 games and the oh so important preseason resulted in 4 losses
When we hang 28 on buffalo today, the story will be how the buffalo defense played poorly. It amazes me how none of the experts have ruminated on the offensive upgrade Sparan represents over Schottenheimer.
I just don't want to hear the media blowing smoke up our a$$es after we crush the Bills. Just keep hatin' espn. Go JETS!!!!!
Sal is just trying for a repeat of the Can't Wait speech. ESPN has assigned him almost permanently to the Jets. Fuck ESPN and fuck Sal Paolanturdio.
I also caught Sal Pal calling an 0-2 start if we lose to Buffalo. Of course, ESPN will be the first to jump on the Jets bandwagon and the NY Media book flights to New Orleans if the Jets win. And don't even get me started if Tebow does great.
In Sal's defense, if I were assigned to permanently follow the Jets around for the Entertainment and Tebow Programming Network, I'd probably slit my wrists. Questioning the Jets defense at this stage is silly. We have one potential weakness on that unit (safeties) and unless/until Landry gets hurt there's no real reason to doubt that side of the ball.
Hey media and ex players..... Suck mu muthaf****d*** Every year, it's Miami or Buffalo. This was obvious haters.
That's fine but this is the sharpest this team has looked in all phases in a long time. Considering the premise of my original post im going to enjoy it.
Fine showing today but the real tests are still to come. I was impressed with Sanchez today but very disappointed with the TebowCat offense which always seemed ill timed and ineffective.
