Can't watch the video from my phone, but I'm hoping they mean Super Bowl 3 was embarrassing to the NFL because they lost to the AFL for the first time, when the NFL was considered way stronger. What are essentially now the 2 conferences used to be 2 separate leagues.
well i don't think they are bashing the jets at all It's the "nfl" most embarassing moments so considering the colts were representing the NFL in that superbowl, and they were heavily favorites, it's just saying that this major upset that we pulled off embarassed the nfl because they went to the game so confident, since no AFL team had ever won before
How is it "bashing" the Jets? Other than Morrall's stick up his ass quote, it makes the NFL look bad, not the Jets. FFS, paranoia abounds in the Jets fan base.
It was an embarrassment to the NFL that an upstart AFL team beat them. It's not about the Jets, man. Sheesh. Don't look so hard for negativity. There is enough of it around without conjuring up more.
thats a huge compliment. fuck, the jets are the reason we have the nfl we do today. i would also venture to say that backlash from joes treatment of the media is why the team is treated the way it is today. crybaby journalists will never get over it, the new generations will watch the documentaries and secretly start feeling a little disdain towards the jets. then any chance they get to bash the team they do in hopes of the approval of the old guard. thats a paranoid jets fan, but i think it has some weight to it. journalists are crybabies
