I've held this position since the beginning of the season. You can look at my record prediction at best 8-8, being charitable with a soft schedule. A number of posters laughed at me. Who's laughing now? I don't have any great gifts of clairvoyance, I just trusted my eyes and ears, and judge the team fairly based on last season, what was done in the off season/draft, and their preseason play. All indicators that this team was worse not better than last year. Expect another ass whooping next game.

There is nothing wrong with losing to a good team, it's just the Jets play so poorly its not even entertaining to watch.

Jets are in 1st place, averaging 24 PPG at home. What's everyone so mad about?

we are in a race, in which we have one leg and were given a 40 yard head start against hussein bolt.

listen i want the jets to win as much as the next guy....but it may be time to accept reality.

This...exactly. I've accused myself of seeing this team through rose colored glasses but right now...this is just a lousy NFL team. They have every right to be 1-3 right now. It's a Carpenter's miracle they're 2-2. I'll be stunned if they have 4 wins by the bye, absolutely stunned.

That is it, these last 3 games have been brutal to watch. the last entertainment from this team I got was the 1st quarter of the Steelers game. They are putrid on offense, the D misses tackles, assignments, no pressure, terrible RB's, poor coaching. The only bright spot has been Malone.... I'm sick.

i don't know about the hc, but i agree with the rest of your thought.

but, i would fire, today, the oc, qb coach, lb coach, and the gm.

if that doesn't send a message, then we need to start everything over.

we won 2 games that other mediocre teams gift-wrapped.

against 2 quality teams , we got grounded and pounded.

    hope that answers your question.

it's true that the Jets are 2-2, however when you look at the point differential for the season the jets are at -28, and that's with the huge blowout of the Bills in the opening game. Only 7 teams (that as of the time of this posting had completed 4 games) have scored fewer points than the Jets. Cripes even the Chiefs have scored more points than the Jets.

The Jets, excluding Dallas which at this point has only completed 3 games, are the only team with a .500 with a negative point differential. Even if you include Dallas at 2-1 they only have a point differential of -7.

How bad is it? when you have 1 win that was a 20 point spread and your at -28 points after 4 games the team is doing pathetic. This team should be 1-3 right now had it not been for the Dolphins self destructing.

Haha. "It's ok,we're in 1st place. There is no problem with the qb and the pass rush is strong. There is no reason at all to think we won't win the division"

Why dont you all ask Giants fans how they felt about their team when they fell to 6-6 lost 4 straight and got blow out just as badly in New Orleans.

Or go ask Cardinal fans how they felt heading into the 08 playoffs? that team was getting ripped to shreds weekly. We are 2-2 period. We are in first place and have a game to play next week.

this team does not have the personel to start with. Now add on that we lost Revis, and maybe Holmes for a while and it's even worse

you know what,by Wed most of us will feel differently and start talking about ways we can beat the Texans. But were hours after a terrible loss and our QB is the suck. But win or lose, next week we'll do it all over again

Eli and Kurt Warner aren't walking through that door anytime soon. Neither is Larry Fitzgerald or Jason Pierre-Paul.

“Overall, in my opinion, I think this has a chance to be the best team that I’ve had since I’ve been the coach here,”

The Giants were down 21-3 at half in New Orleans and looked like a complete charity case and hopeless.

Im not saying the Jets WILL turn this around, but they can turn this around. If we win next week this whole board will be talking playoffs. If the Jets lose next week then I will be concerned, but lets give this team a chance to respond, theyve won 2 division games and deserve a shot at redemption. Hopefully the place is loud next week.

And who knows, what if the Patriots and Bills lose next Sunday? We might lose monday and STILL be in first. Which would be ridiculous as hell
