Take home lesson for all of us: Ryan brothers are one big fraud. I am just talking about defense for now.
How can you blame Rob when Romo gave up 5 interceptions? And there were some fumbles there too. Edit: At least for this game, haven't kept track of other Dallas games.
Ryan's are fine at defense.. our pass defense at least kept us in the game for a while. Our run D looked like Frank Gore was playing Madden on rookie.
Is it Romo's fault that Cutler completed huge bombs one after another, burning the secondary all the time? I didn't think Romo played on defense? Hester burned them for 41, then Marshall burned them for what, 36? 18/24, 275 yards for 2 TDs. 140.10 QBR, 11.46 yards per attempt, 8.3% TD Does that look like a miserable day for a QB? Offense did allow one pick 6 during the first half, but the defense took the wind off the sails when they allowed the 80 yard TD drive to start the 3rd quarter.
If it were Sanchez today, his backers would be blaming his performance on his receivers dropping a ton of balls and his receivers running poor routes...and they'd have a point.
Eh Gore didn't go off. Kendal Hunter did. Gore was just grinding. The Ryan's are good football coaches, prideful, stubborn but good. The jets offense did the defense no favors with 4 turnovers. The chicago vs dallas game is 18-20 if you just take the defensive touch downs off the board. Lols.
The Jets have no run defense. They really don't have NFL quality WR's and Keller has been hurt. The backs are mediocre and one speed. The offensive line has been pretty mediocre except for the game that Chan Gailey screwed up by telling his pass rushers to play the run for the first half. We're still 2-2 and likely going to win 7 or 8 games. It could be much worse right now. As long as the team doesn't quit they'll preserve their self-respect. If they quit, well nothing really to do about that except wait for the next regime.
