Every game is a winnable game.

It's not about the bitching because we lost. It was the bitching for more obvious reasons. The terrible weekly performance by Greene, the terrible inconsistency of Mark Sanchez, the injuries, the benching of young players like Coples and Davis.

Many were sitting here saying this is over and done with and we just need to lose out and draft a higher player. Bullshit. How can we give up when we are right on top of the playoff hunt?

Pittsburgh will still be 8-8, 9-7 at worst come January and we'd lose a tiebreaker if we were fortunate to find an offense by then.

People are really pumped about less than 10 offensive points per game since Week 1, huh?

2002 JETS started 2-5 and the Pats were defending SB champs........ but went on to won the division and pummel Manning in the playoffs, so anything is possible.

that being said, I still don't think this team is that good.

since Steelers lost last night,if we beat the Colts on Sunday we own.......the number 6 spot for the wild card, we can only get better guys,we should be able to take a wild card spot this season easily, the AFC is weak this year

Nobody said they were pumped - just that we aren't out of it yet.

And obviously, if the Jets continue at less than 10 points per game they will be out of it soon, but there is the possibility of the future being a little different to the past.

The AFC is wide open for any time to make a run.
Only 1 team has a winning record that is not a division leader - Cinci at 3-2

2-2 and 2-3 is the norm right now. This season will come down to who plays the best in November/December. Any team that can get to 4-4 is still in it for another month.

I do not think the Texans game was as close as people would like to believe.

We didn't have much else than the return by McKnight, which is not luck but happens once a season if you have a good special team.

Then again , i am much more nervous about our form than the fact that we are 2-3 after having played texans and 49ers. Therefore Steelers are more likely to rise from their 'season ending' position of 2-3 than we are.

The steelers won 2 SB's with the current team they have.... If we won just one SB. I would be fine with rebuilding and flushing this away and starting new.... Yeah there 2-3 with a QB that can win or will win enough to give his team a chance... If we had big ben or eli manning.. I would see hope at 2-3 and a full 3/4 season to make it up... But to say that we are like the steelers in any way... Is that we both are 2-3... That's all.

It just goes to show you that good teams lose games. It happens. Pittsburgh might have lost Pouncey and Mendenhall for the season. If so, they're in trouble, although Redman looked pretty good. We're not that bad at 2-3. The Packers, Broncos, Steelers all have the same record and were projected playoff teams. It's far from over. When Keller comes back, things will change.
