Rex would probably be a lot more willing to take some chances prior to the half if his QB didn't fumble every time someone breathed on him.
Big, I'm not making excuses, facts are the facts, however I do realize that MS needs to be replaced and not by either one of the other guys on this roster. We also need to bring in an elite receiver, 1st round pick only. If Santonio comes back next year at least he can fill the #2 receiver spot, pushing Kerley into the slot receiver position where he is comfortable.
Here is the problem with all of the defenses of Sanchez based on our (admittedly) pathetic group of receivers: OVER or UNDER 20: How may wide open receivers, this season, has Sanchez either failed to see running down the field or flat out missed with a horribly inaccurate pass? OVER or UNDER 5: How many of them were open more than 15 yards down the field? The fact that, without even looking, I'm very confident that both answers are comfortably OVER, is, in and of itself, irrefutable proof that we need a new quarterback. Now, we could probably do a similar "ballpark" analysis with drops . . . which is why I also think we need new WRs. (Although I think Holmes has been horribly underrated on this board and gets an inordinate amount of unfair criticism)
That line is hysterical to me. Talk about the understatement of the year! That's like saying hookers have a tendency to be promiscuous
I got no problem with rex going conservative against the JAGs when the score is 3-0. Now if they were down two touchdowns or something that is a different story. Rex had confidence his defense would hold Jacksonville and 3-0 would not be too much for his offense to overcome in the second half. And why should they trust Sanchez. He has the most turnovers in the league the last few years except for Rivers.
Someone said it perfectly above, this football PURGATORY. if the game plan is to minimize throwing to almost zero then might as well fkn play the teebster already. how could it be any worse?
