    Seems a bit drastic. I thought that was what the 15 yard penalty was for.

    He definitely deserved 15-yard penalty. Not sure if it was the type of penalty to draw league fine. Is this Coples first penalty for 15-yard facemask? Maybe he's a repeat offender for this kind of penalty. Or is fines for these penalties the norm across the league now & I just didn't realize it?

    Seriously? A facemask penalty. It wasn't really all that violent of a pull either if I remember correctly.

    I thought fines were supposed to be for egregious penalties not all of them.

    Rookies can't hang out with the vets until they get fined. It's a street cred thing. All's good.

    He was fined already for one, against the colts.
    The league has been fining players for Personal Fouls (facemask, horsecollar etc.) for some time now.
    Not sure why people are upset or care, it's against the rules, they penalize then fine guys.

    I for one would like to know what the NFL is doing with said fine $? Is there a reason behind the astronomical increase over the past 3 years? Maybe building a slush fund for the future lawsuits, healthcare bills ect? Makes you wonder...
