This is a little different Rex and Tanny aren't just employees they are at the top and just as they need Woody to write their checks Woody needs them to run his team. If they walked out Woody would have find someone to be able to fill their shoes which is no easy thing. I know plenty of HC how won't stand for owners telling them how to do their job and have no problem walking. Bill Parcels comes to mind.

Back to my corporate analogy, you can go a long with an owners idiotic ideas, and keep your job until those ideas put the company out of business or in serious financial trouble and then you'll be out of a job.

What concrete proof do you have that they were forced into it? Just because Rex didn't play Tebow isn't proof because he didn't play McElroy either until they were out of the playoffs. If you want to use the excuse that Rex should keep his job because Woody pressured him into bad personnel decisions then by all rights Tanny should keep his job too.

Let's say you guys didn't get Tebow. You really think this season would have turned out differently?

What would have been different? Drew Stanton would have stepped in and won the qb job?

Face it, you guys signed him, then didn't use him. Tim Tebow had not one thing to do with this season good or bad for you guys. If he hadn't played a single snap the results would have been the same.

Well, it's over probably. And next season you can go back to... whatever it is you do when Tebow isn't on the team.

The only difference is no one outside of New York will pay any attention. So I guess everyone will be happy.

I wonder if Concerned Citizen will stay around, or leave this board high and dry? Only so many hours in the day, so I imagine he drops you like a bad habit.

Next year you can enjoy Sanchez/McCarron/Some Rookie/Some Veteran Free Agent rotating through the qb job.

The only hope I see for you guys is to clean house with the GM and coaching staff. Hit gold with a new head coach, and make some kind of Bellicek Shark Trade to get the kind of pocket qb you think you need.

I can't speak for everyone else but in my mind Tebow had little to do with how this season turned out. But its a glaring example of how dysfunctional this organization is. The reason there is a lack of talent on this team is because of bad personnel decisions and repeatedly squandering draft picks for the past 5 years. It was plain to anyone with football knowledge that this decision made no football sense. This team could ill afford trading a draft pick for a gimmick QB.

    That pretty much covers it.

Who knows what that 4th round draft pick does? Who knows whether they try to force the Tebowcat and instead have an effective WC that Kerley runs. Who knows what happens, but we lost a draft pick out of it and a decent 4th round draft pick probably would been more important than Tebow this season for now and for the future.

Screw the draft pick.....I knew it was gonna be a DEBACLE, not even a bad idea.

I remember Matt Robinson/Richard Todd and Pat Ryan/Ken O'Brien and Neil O'Donnel/Glenn Foley -- this was going to be 1,000 times worse.

Somehow, Rex and MT thought it would be like bringing Tebow into Kansas City or the middle of nowhere.

Adam Schefter, for what its' worth, says he has no indication that this was an owner driven move.

Given Rex's belief that he can coach/manage any player, he may have mis-calculated Tebow's affect on the team.

The Tebow acquisition was a total blunder, even the wildcat runs better with Kerley rather then Tebow.
