http://m.nfl.com/news/0ap1000000151497/long-agrees-to-fouryear-deal-with-rams/ Maybe they should have concentrated more on re-signing their blind side tackle instead of fifty free agents LOL
Long has been regressing. They will still be better off with the people they signed as long as they replace Long with any above par tackle.
I was thinking that when they signed Mike Wallace. They've been saying for a while now how difficult he was going to be to resign, but I have to imagine they could have worked something out with all the money they seem to have to spend.
Miami seems to have been the lowest offer of three teams. Pittsburgh stepped in too late, but both Pittsburgh and St. Louis had higher offers
Same. All these great weapons and OLBs marauding the LOT spot all season LONG  Unless they have a nifty plan to nab Luke Joeckel or Eric Fisher, could happen
Not surprised about Jake, nor am I bitter. He earned his right to choose. I will say though that this allows us to get a tackle that fits Philbin's zone blocking mold instead of the big mauler types that Parcells covets. From what reports I have seen, they still have about 20 million to spend. Account 5 or 6 of that to the rookies so another tackle on the cheap could be signed (Vollmer or Winston). I could also see a tackle in the draft being the scenario.
Do you honestly think he deserved the 2011 probowl?Looks like you only read headlines but don't watch games (not that anyone should take the probowl seriously)He clearly has been in decline and he's been fighting injuries for the last 2 years not 1. So if you want to blame the average play at best on that then you can but you could also blame ZBS a scheme that doesn't fit him. Either way don't make it sound like he was a huge loss that can't be replaced through the draft or that he's been elite that last 2 years. Every one knows he's been regressing
^Exactly. If you want to shit on the Dolphins, the "lowballing" of Jake Long is not a good reason. He can't stay injury free and hasn't been run blocking very well. Even his pass blocking had slipped which was his strength. And the dude wanted 10 mill a year.
