nice.....but as jet luck would have it Cribbs gets signed, makes a play or 2, and then gets injured again. oye.....
Gates likely couldn't score a starting job in the Arena Football League. He's the perfect analogy as to why 40 times suck.
at this point, the 4th he gave away for injured-list ivory could have been used on lamar miller, rb picked in 4th round by the fins, or a wideout picked in 4th by the titans ( forgot his name, but he was productive against the jets last game). at this point, idzik can sign guys off the street but don't make any trades. wait until the draft. don't trust his record on trades. he looks like another tannybum.
What? Lamar Miller was drafted in 2012, and was taken with an earlier pick. The Titans took Justin Hunter in the second round, 70 picks earlier. They haven't taken a 4th round wide receiver since 2008. That being said I would have preferred Jonathan Franklin, who was taken after.
Can some-1 please explain to me the reason as to why JET FO signed Gates? Honestly, I just don't see the rational in signing a WR who in his rookie season @ Miami, played in parts of all of 15 games while targeted just 12 times & catching ONLY 2 passes!!?? Granted, he was good as a kick-returner with over 800+ yds in KO returns, but that was b-4 the line of scrimmage was moved up with KO's going all endzone & what not. I mean, PLEASE some explain to me WHY he's on the JETS!
Bring him in and lets see, As it stands now My Dog could return punts for more yards. Special Teams is killing us.
I agree, Put the kid in and lets see what he can do.. I think he may have dropped one pass and he has been riding the pines. I say put Spandola back in the game. Cant bench a rookie for just one drop.
If healthy and in shape Cribbs could be a good ST asset. Probably would not contribute a ton in the WR depth this week but maybe in a few weeks
