Only why he won't be a good qb until such time as he does....what other kind of comment do you expect in a thread with this header? there are a lot of problems with Sanchez, but if he ever corrects his turnover problems he'd be a serviceable, not great, but serviceable starting QB.
With the Jets being completely worthless, I'm really glad Sanchez is playing. Gives me something to care about. Of course, now he and Revis will probably meet in the Superbowl just to really nail it home
Toldja this would happen. Sanchez making less than Vick, blame Idzik, for cashiering him to prevent scrutiny of his Smith pick. If you go back and look, Idzik held onto Sanchez while other not-ables like Fitzpatrick landed starting joobs, and Idzik didn't cut him until there were no starting spots available. Idzik is an insecure little prick, and whats worse, is possibly the worst GM in the league.
either do it or stop talking about it. stop it, he could throw for 300 a week, 3 TDs and maybe a TO every other week and you will find something to bash him about. now the Panthers suck so if he does well on Monday that will be the reason. yep, the man has thrived on the road in postseason but is intimidated by playing on Monday Nights. Mark was good when Schottenheimer was here, the issue was listening to fans and getting rid of him. we lost that Bal opener for many reasons one of which was the D not being able to get off the field and allowing an insane amount of 3rd and longs. Mark was fine here until post 2011. he took a step back in 2011 but was still good, in 2012 he became a disaster. -Schottenheimer fired -Sparano hired -Tebow brought in -didn't acquire any legitimate talent -top 2 weapons missed most of the year -OL struggled -run game struggled
Why the crusade? Why the compulsion to prove to the world he sucks? You know what? He does. He sucks. You've proven it beyond reproach. Now can you just shut the fuck up about this last game? He WON the game. His 2 turnovers didn't LOSE the game, his 2 TDs WON the game. You sound more and more pathetic everytime you post more of your hate-filled bullshit. Let it go till he plays a shitty game. It's coming. This one wasn't it. Wow some Jet fans are the worst. It's pathetic. _
I think Sanchez stole 1968s lunch money in grade school. There is no other reason that he's on this pitiful crusade. _
Ebay has Sanchez Jerseys for $2.99. They would look good next to your Sanchez calendars and GQ posters.
I don't own a single jersey with anyone's name on it other than mine. The last jerseys I owned with another adults name on it was in sixth grade, Joe Namath and Bobby Orr. And those are LONG gone. But really funny comment ahole. _
I could care less about Sanchez. The only reason we talk about him is because he plays a significant part in "our" teams recent history. Since our history has few highlights some of you can't forget the two AFC Championships and never want to let it go. And when you look at Mark and Rex you have tunnel vision.
Sanchez is on the Eagles so I don't care. But I'm interested in how he does. And I don't root against him. It's on Mark. But no excuses if he plays poorly. But I'm sure you'll find them anyways. If Mark plays in a vacuum (no pass rush, perfect receivers, great blocking on every play, etc) he is Unitas. We've seen that. But if there's just one component of his team or even a single play that does bad (a guy misses a block, a reciever drops a pass) his fans will scream bloody murder.
This really teed me off. Sanchez was a class-act here attitude and fan-wise, regardless of whether you hated him or not. Look at the f****** slack that Idzik cut with Patterson who basically told the Jets to go f*** themselves and stole $1 MM for doing absolutely nothing. That f****** POG -- Piece Of Garbage -- saw an opportunity to get a $1 MM bonus and is now out of the league. Idzik fell for it and then treated the guy BETTER than a guy who gave us 4 years of service and then was KO'd in the preseason in part because of Idzik's 'competition' mantra. They should have released Sanchez 2 months earlier. Classless move by Idzik, and kudos to Mark -- and his agent, family, and friends -- for not attacking the Jets/Idzik, probably out of respect for Rex.
I'm under no illusions with Sanchez. I think he's a slightly-better-than-average QB in good times and a bit below other times. The 2012 season has to be asterisked because he had an undiagnosed shoulder problem. Even us Sanchez defenders -- guilty as charge -- were looking at some of his throws in 2012 and saying "WTF ?" They weren't slight misses or throws into coverage where the defense made a good play. Some of them were off by 5-7 yards on medium-length passes. It's now clear that his shoulder was only 75-80%. How it got undiagnosed is beyond me. I had met Mark in early-September 2013 and it was clear his shoulder was bothering him the way he was carrying it. But there was NOTHING about a bum shoulder at that time in the press (I noted my observerations at that time on this forum). He clearly re-aggravated the 2012 injury when hurt vs. the Giants.
Mark should have zero complaints about the Jets. He got paid very well. And because of that clueless 2013 extension after a piss poor season Tannenbaum was fired. He got paid over 8 mil and I think got buy out money for this season (not sure about that). Mark did very well financially. I just wish he had lived up to those contracts. So does Tannenbaum.
