I don't think Smith is going anywhere but I get a terrible feeling they're going to add RGme or Sam Bradford to the convoluted mess.
I hope not, but a lifetime as a New York sports fan tells me otherwise about our tendencies to acquire old and broke down players.
Thankful that the season is almost over and that they fire the entire FO (including Glat), CS and scouting dept.
...and unfortunately you are right. Seems as if no matter how many bad experiences we have; we just keep coming back for more.
Well taking the NYJs out of the equation I have plenty to be thankful about including being able to make this post. However, when it comes to the NYJs I have NOTHING to be thankful about because of the 45 year long losing streak & when peering into the future all I see is more losing. So I wish to caution all of you that harbor feelings that we are "due" to just look over the last 45 years & consider that the NYJs will may go on another 45 year losing streak & 45 years from now U will be saying the things about the NYJs that U R saying today
I'm thankful Sanchez got a little Thanksgiving redemption. Such a shame to end your Jets career getting slaughtered behind a 3rd string line..Plus he's been a joke in America's eyes since the "butt fumble" a few years ago. Glad he kicked Romos ass on Turkey Day
We'll be the Boston Red Sox/Chicago Cubs of football. Hopefully one or more of us will survive to 90+ and become a human interest story in the year 2060. They'll trot those of us left out on the field with weather beaten, faded and all around dilapidated Namath, Martin, or Chrebet jerseys. Some moderately famous actor, or music act from the 2050's, perhaps the 2040's just so they can speak on how long they have been a pseudo Jet fan. Will say a few words about the endurance of New York, New York sports and its' fans. How great this win is for the city of New York and how sweet it is for these guys/gals right here to live to see the Jets in the SB again. Then they'll wheel/walk us up to the podium so we can start the Jets chant...................... and then a meteor lands right on top of the stadium bringing about the beginning of the next ice age. The End
U should surely book mark this thread rebound 45 years from now so U can then look into it to C what was said 45 years backwards
That game manager never played like that for us when he was here. Must be the system he's in now instead of the system he was in here... hmmmm.. how could that be??
That the future (necessarily including the future of the New York Jets) isn't entirely and definitively determined by the past because the universe is inherently random and uncertain.
Hes the same turnover machine he was now that he was with us. Just better weapons. Even Geno would look legit playing on a team like Philly. Hes also very lucky he didnt have multiple turnovers again last night.
I'm thankful this thread's not showing signs of being hi-jacked and turning into yet another effin' Mark Sanchez debate…………..
