Magic of Lal will do that. You just have no fucking idea what you are talking about. I've been harping on Sanjay Lal on the very fucking day he tagged along - and haven't changed my stance since. Go look that up - not every Jet fan is as clueless as you are.
I truly believe with better coaching Hill could've been at least a little more productive and played a little bit bigger of a role he had on our WR corps. A lot of that falls on him, but also on Lal. This is horrible news for the Bills. Poor Watkins.
The jets got "trounced" by the entire league last year, not just Buffalo. And that had nothing to do with Rex and everything to do with the shit roster. The majority of jets players suck, and no coach was going to do any different in that crap environment, organization, general manager, and media.
If I was your owner I'd have given Marrone that extension. 4th and Marrone. Wait until you see 3rd and long under Rex.
Lol so a failure of a HC brought his entire staff of failures to the biggest failure of a franchise in the NFL. Seems like a match made in heaven to me.
Rex's weaknesses were glossed over because of AFCCG (2x) appearances, but rightfully argued that he coached a team that was assembled by Mangini era. But last four years have revealed his weaknesses severely. One of the most glaring weaknesses I have noticed was him and his coaches' failures to develop players. I seriously doubt that Rex maximized player's talent and put them in a position to do well. No doubt, he succeeded to be liked by his players, but he failed to develop them as better players.
The jet receivers were low on talent, but they were also low on grit. They rarely challenged DBs on poorly thrown balls. I think that is partly coaching. Receivers have to be tough too. Probably tougher in Buffalo.
That was a HUGE problem last season. The TE's core sans Amaro was guilty of the exact same thing. I forget what game it was but Sudfield had a pretty egregious "no-fight" situation down near the endzone. He just let the DB waffle in front of him and make the int with zero interference. I understand that the WR coach isn't going to polish a turd, but our WR seem like they were unprepaired for games on an entirely different level. It went far beyond the usual drops and bad routes. Sometimes it seemed like they didn't even know what play was being run. I blame some of it on Geno but, cmon, it seemed like every team we played was 5 deep with players making quality catches.
