Did anybody check that out? I stumbled onto his camp video - and took the time to watch the first half of it [Upper body fundamental/lower body fundamental/Stance]

To see Chad doing this was bittersweet - his peers like Peyton Manning and Tom Brady are still playing at elite level, and Chad is coaching little kids. But then - he obviously knew his stuff inside out, and his teaching was very clear. I enjoyed watching his lessons. Looked like he found his second calling - where he doesn't have to worry about others criticizing him for weak arms, fragile body and all other bullshits. It made me smile in the end.

I had my doubts about hiring him as a QB coach at one point, but after the clip, I am inclined to think he will make one hell of a QB coach [and OC later.]

    Watch them yourselves:

    Part 1: Upper body fundamentals

    Part 2: Lower body fundamentals

Part 3 and 4: Fundamentals summary, and stances:

    Part 5: 3 step drops

    Part 6: 5 step drops:

    Part 7: Shotgun footworks

Chad is one of my favorite all time Jets. I have this 8x10 action shot poster of him at the line of scrimmage against the Dolphins that was given for free from some old New York Times paper that I keep on my wall above my desk in my dorm room. I have a lot of respect for him and appreciate the little success he brought to us before injuries put an end to what could have been.

always thought Pennington would make a great coach.
was right up there with Manning in work ethic and football smarts.

An all time favorite. So weird you started this post today. My golden retriever just turned 14 today and I named her after Chad. Named her Penny.

I can't believe it was 14 years ago that Chad was just getting going.

    Dang.

Is there a reason why Chad hasn't gotten a QB coaching job in the NFL? Does he just not want one?

I mean Kevin O'Connoll just got a QB coach job.

My son one day will be coached by Pennington to be a QB. My son, Kal-El.

I was a huge Chad fan as well. The last Jet QB that was good. (minus Favres year) One thing that bothers me is the Miami Dolphin colors on the shirt he wearing.

Pay this guy good money to be a QBs coach here please. If Geno had half the QB knowledge as Pennington he would be an elite QB.

Same can be said of Sanchez too - and he didn't have the mental flaws that GeNO has.
