We're sorry, but the Arizona Cardinals vs Oakland Raiders game will not be shown in the Oakland area this Sunday. Instead, we'll be showing you a much more interesting game.
that cardinals/raiders game is going to much more entertaining then either of the other two snoozefests.
Is this because they did not sell the amount of tickets that need to be sold to air the game or is this from the networks saying this game is just not good enough so we are going to show you this game instead. Like they were talking about earlier this year.
Ho hum. As others have noted, I presume that that game couldn't be shown in the Bay Area, since they didn't sell out.
I have Oakland in my knockout pool this week. I think Arizona will have a let down after being at home MNF, short week, traveling, etc. Oakland has to win eventually, why not this week? I didn't see any other games I could pick that I really liked, and I've already won with Miami this year, so this would set me up nicely.
I know this is beside the point, but that large swath of Minnesota vs. Seattle through Missouri, Illinois, and even Indiana, makes me scratch my head raw. It just seems so random.
local networks typically buy out the remainding tickets...like what wsvn and other local channels do in miami
It appears that Iowa just couldn't hold it anymore. They need to mop that up before it spreads any further.
The sad fact is SJ, I bet half the young folk on the board could not show you where those states are on the map.
I hope they dont have to do this now but my dad heard in Jacksonville they have had to cover up close to 10,000 seats with plastic so they could get the game locally televised. I guess the plastic is just a way of getting around it.
I considered going with Oakland in survivor, but I decided it was too risky. Picked the Jets instead.
We both survived. A lot of people got bounced from mine this week, many with Jacksonville. As a Jet fan since 1974, I know how the real bad teams operate, I saw this Raider win coming across the bridge. I know very little about picking playoff games or Super Bowls, but I can tell you what a 4-12 team is going to do next about 8 times out of 10.
