I know, but can't -- work is in shit. Got new manager, gotta survive the inevitable wave of "innovative" "process improvements".
My weekends will be booked for a while :)

Junkies always talk about their addiction. They say there isn't one minute they don't think about the stuff they use. Drugs or alcohol or whatever. I feel like a junkie. Who cares about this stupid Steelers-Vikings game but I do. I really can't wait to watch some football. I know it will be a crappy game but who cares. Give me 2 teams battling it out on the field.

    It's such a weird juxtaposition.

You don't want the summer to end but now we have football.

Have either of the coaches given an indication of how far their starters are going? I've seen coaches leave them in for a series or two but on the other hand I've seen guys go in for 1 play just for show and leave after the snap. I'm really hoping to see a drive or 2 from Teddy.

I hope he plays at least 3 drives.

Good point, he could get booed on the first 2 and then lead a touchdown drive on the third. :D

It's weird having to explain to my girlfriend why I'm dying to watch a Steelers-Vikings preseason game o_O

    :)

I understand you. My wife made peace with my new found passion. As a guy who knew nothing about NFL until age of 26, I am now really hooked up. :)

Well Mike Tomlin really took the air out of this one by scratching every single meaningful player on his team. Thanks, douche.

We couldn't even get them for a series. Or an honorary play?

Mother fucker I hate John Idzik.

That dude is going to be a very good winning QB for a long time.

He's just so smart. Knows where everyone is at all times. Great pre snap reads, great at picking up all his routes.

The kid had a stellar college career and was talked about as a potential 1st overall pick. It really pissed me off how one bad workout made him slide in the draft.

Too be fair--some folks talked about Geno as the number 1 pick when he was throwing for 600 yards against James Madison.

But the difference between the two was the football IQ. Actually, Geno has a better arm but the anticipation and accuracy and the type of offense Teddy played in at Louisville was night and day compared to Geno at WVU.

Someone said it before the draft--there was nobody in a long time that was better in the 5 seconds before the snap and the 3 seconds after the snap than Teddy.

I wanted him really really bad. He's a better armed more athletic version of Chad. And a true leader.

they said last night he always wears gloves but for some reason didn't wear gloves in his Pro Day. his passes were all over the place because of it.

one teams' red flag is another's golden opportunity
