The absolute void of any significant talent in the Tight End position on this team for so long has actually gotten to the point where I miss Anthony Becht. Sure, he had terrible receiving hands for the position, but the guy could block like a friggin' tank. A guy like that on this team could really help Chris Ivory, and would take pressure off of Mangold.
He deserves a lot of credit for being left wide open and not dropping that ball. Like the week before. Rich Gannon even mocked him.
TE Jeff Cumberland is terrible, he can't block or catch well enough to make use of his speed in mismatches. WR/HB/4th WR Jeff Cumberland isn't so bad, still doesn't catch worth a damn. However he lucks out every once in a while on a go route and runs with it.
Keller wasn't bad but he couldn't block and I remember him having a habit of getting lost when we really needed him to produce.
He also had a nasty habit of making the dumbest decisions when he was about to be tackled, trying to hurdle a safety awkwardly, flipping over and landing on his head. Like half his injuries came that way.
