Jets topic coming up in the "Mail Time" segment of PTI. just a heads up for y'all. hopefully, it'll be something interesting. cheers
yeah, i'll post it when they discuss it, which should be in about 10 mins. i like Wilbon and Kornhieser (sp?). they're very opinionated and one of them usually makes sense. cheers
I laughed when the camera caught Kornheiser rolling his eyes after Jaws' lame "balanced glasses" joke.
hahah that was funny. just heard prior to the commerical. they're gonna discuss the last play and whether or not we were robbed. cheers
Wilbon apparently thinks Jets would've been 5-2 if they won this game. Dumbass. Also, the ref who blew the call was Bobby Horton.
he thinks we would have been 5-2 lol and they both agree it should have been a td. and kornheiser said the rule should change.
TOPIC - were the Jets robbed? RESPONSE Tony: the rule needs to be changed so it can be reviewable. both unanimously agreed that Baker was coming down in bounds. said Jets could be 5-2 right now (i guess if we had beaten the Colts also). cheers
PTI says Jets got screwed.....NFL Park Avenue Office Response ?? Busy helping Bob Kraft figure out a way to up the prices on his luxury suites up in Foxboro..... News at 11.....
This is the only form of any media oppinion about that BS call I have seen so far. Does anyone else have any links, or something to more discussions on this topic from the media? Seems like it is being VERY hush, hush by the media. Might just be me. EDIT: I do live in Indiana after all.
5-2.....and he said it twice well they spoke about us,...thought we should be 5-2...lol.... But they both agreed that the Refs robbed us. They even said they should change that rule to be re-viewable. maybe this will be like the Tuck Rule change of 06
wow 20 seconds. wonderful I remember last week they dedicated 12 hours to the cowboys qb change. screw espn.
Wow, I'm surprised at PTI. I figured they'd take the route of EVERY single other moronic journalist who claims it was alright for the ref to blow the call because it had already been decided that the Jets "did not deserve to win this game." THat is probably the DUMBEST excuse anyone could possibly think of, yet it is becoming more and more of a media cliche. The fact is that they WERE in position to tie and possibly win the game, no matter how they got there. They didn't deserve or not deserve anything. Does that mean every time you play poorly against a bad team, you don't "deserve" to win? If that's true, chalk up wins for the Jets against the Patriots and Colts--after all, those teams didn't "deserve" to win.
EVERY media outlet spends more time analyzing Tiki Barber and his retirement now than they do on the ENTIRE JETS TEAM.
I'm with you.... I already went through it in another thread. Did the Pats deserve to win the night the tuck rule was invented?
They spoke about it on Mike and Mike this morning too and both agreed it was a bad call and should have at least been reviewable but Greeny said the Jets were still outplayed and didn't deserve to win the game. He's sort of right but Golic also said sometimes you have days like that and still have a chance to win. I agree with both and would've been OK if the play was at least reviewed and upheld but that was just BS.
yep. completely stupid to say that, when they pronosticated that we would finish with 4 wins....nobody deserve anything, either u win or u lose, and they took away our chances of winning.
