I wonder if this means Wilk is gone, or this is a replacement for Snacks.

Seems like a good player at a good contract.

A 3 year deal isn't camp fodder. That's all I'm saying. And it's also odd considering we have much larger holes to fill but spent $2 mil of our little cap space on someone that plays the same position.

He's not a Mo replacement. That's a dumb sentiment. But there's some credence to the thought they are loading up just in case.

    Nice move! :)

He's a solid replacement for Snacks Harrison. (and presumably comes at a reasonable price)

So, apparently, we haven't done a deal then.

He was a starter for the Bears wasn't he? And from what I read it sounds like he's the same exact kind of player as Snacks was (though not quite as good). But he sounds like a solid starting NT.

    He's a DE. Not a NT

Macc is not acting like he has little cap space. He was in on Vernon, he's spent about $10 mil of this year's cap on RBs, he's offered 7-8 mil to Fitz and probably knows he'll need to go a little higher and there seem to be a number of other players visiting or that he is in on. I know all the media is saying we don't have much cap room, but either we have more than is being reported or he's got a way to easily create more room. I don't know if that's trading Mo or cutting Brick, but it seems like he's got a way (and I don't think he's the type to move cap $$ to future years).

...well maybe not technically, but his job has been to "eat up blocks", "occupy blockers", and he's not considered a sack threat. Big man who occupies blockers, doesn't pressure the QB and gets tackles. Sounds like a NT to me. (or at least a potential NT) He may need to eat a few more biscuits in the offseason but sounds like someone who could potentially play the Snacks role for us.
