Let's not add any more people to this QB mess.

Besides Mettenberger is a older version of Hackenberg, only with a beard.

Geno one year into the system and hopefully humbled is the best realistic option after Fitz. He's actually had some great games mixed in with his ridiculous mistakes but people just choose to forget them for whatever reason

Only guy I would still be happy going after is Kapernick but that ship has sailed most likely

Mettenberger was terrible when he played last year for an injured Mariota

He'd be fighting for a backup job at best.

What you said!!! That word is NOT to be said here any more! That is in the past, and we don't want no stinking w_______ in our offense.

Glennon makes zero sense. He is not a fit for this offense. He's immobile and has a slow release, and would probably cost a 4th or 3rd round draft pick. There's no way he should even be a consideration imo.

Change a couple details around and it sounds like you're talking about Geno.

Then is Fitzpatrick and older version of Mettenberger with a longer beard?

Mett,Hoyer and Glennon are all crap options. If we can't get Fitz to resign, roll with what we have. Let the 3 duke it out in camp and pick a starter. Geno was having a decent camp last year before he got knocked out. With a much better supporting cast than he had his two years as starter he could be serviceable. He could also still suck. However, we've spent 3 picks in the last 4 drafts on qbs, why bring in other qbs from the garbage heap? Let's see what we have in our young qbs.

The only similarities is a strong fastball esque arm. Mettenberger was on an offense with La'ell Collins and Vadal Alexander protecting him, Jeremy Hill running the ball, and Landry/OBJ to throw to and barely got an NFL look. Hackenberg was throwing to Byz and Stokes out there and got selected in the 2nd round...

a 6th or 7th sure, why not. Nothing more though at this point. Before the draft I would have been willing to part with a 5th.

You are forgetting that Mettenberger was injured and could not work out for teams during the combine. He was still projected in the top three rounds before he slid on draft day.

He is young, he should come cheap, and he has more experience than our QBs except for Geno Smith, While some of you view Smith as a viable option I think he is a waste of time. Watch the Buffalo games where he started and get back to me if you think otherwise.

One decent QB away from a SB and this team is still a mess

Doubt Macc wants to bring in more camp arms at this point. My guess is it Fitz or bust.
