If he's playing for Rex, he'll never get a chance. When Rex has "his guy", he'll keep his guy in no matter what. The Bills could be 0-15, Taylor could have 0 TDs and 50 INTs in the season, and going into the last game, the press will ask why Jones hasn't got a shot, and Rex will just give his canned answer: "I believe that Tyrod Taylor gives us the best chance to win." If Jones does show promise, it might not be a bad idea to dump two of the QBs we currently have next year and see if we can pick up Jones.

I guess you can call this an improvement for the OP since he previously was talking about Goff going to the HOF before he was even drafted.

Big arm. Big frame. Big balls to stand in there and take a hit. Calm under pressure. Very raw, but I think he could be special in the future. Personally I'd take him over Geno.

Considering the way the Bills preseason is going I wouldn't be that surprised if he did get hit by a truck.

 

Preferably by one from the Wilk and Sons HIT delivery company. Double points if it's on one of those shitty option/wildcat plays Rex seems to like.

Not advocating injuries, but you know it's an inevitability with with Rex. I forget what game it was but Tyrod got clocked last year and Rex left him in to get clocked not once but twice more. Tyrod overcame it that time, but eventually his luck will run out.

 

I'm speaking hypothetically if the opportunity were to present itself and Jones were to show promise. I agree: "Fat chance". However, with the way Rex does things, you never know. Our QB next year is most likely going to be one of the ones already on the roster. Unless, of course, Jimmy Garoppolo ends up being a stud for the Pats and creates a Montana/Young type controversy with Brady, then Brady gets pissed off and decides he wants to teach the Patriots a lesson and go play his final season(s) for the Jets in revenge. Again...I think Fitz, Petty, Smith, or Hackenburg is the QB next year.
