http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2006/writers/em_swift/11/14/belichick/index.html Some interesting tidbits... -Belichick scheming off the field with the receptionist at Giant Stadium. -Teenage son arrested on dope charges. -Acrimonious divorce preceedings with ex-wife -Relationship with Mangini likened to his "Darth Vader" versus Mangini's "Luke Skywalker"
lol i cant believe they mention his son's arrest. thats totally non-relative. and they make it seem like the kids on a slippery slope. whats even more surprising is his kid got 6 months probation with no priors. Maybe the Judge is a fan of an division rival. either way the divorce court thing is the most intriguing though. he seems like a real ass.
Belichick=great football coach...horrible person. He's good at his job...but true moral character on his part is lacking.
My favorite part of that article is about Bill banging that construction worker's wife. What a dick. Good stuff.
I have a little Belichick story: Went to see the Jets on the road in Buffalo one year, stayed in the same hotel as the team, and saw Bill and Andrea Kramer having dinner together. (NOT that I'm suggesting something inappropriate, it didn't look that way at all) and we were just a little shocked because of the Parcells "gag rule" about assistant coaches talking to the media. The next day, game day, sure enough there was Andrea Kramer on the sideline sharing her insights into the Jets (unamed sources, if I recall correctly, I may still have the game on tape somewhere). Take from that what you will, but it seems to me Bill was once an assistant coach who bent his head coaches rules a bit, at least on one occasion.
I read in The Star Ledger this morning that NE has signed Vinnie Testeverde. Why, I am not sure. Brady may be struggling a bit, but Vinnie can't challenge Brady.
I heard a caller on ESPN Radio yesterday who claimed that he worked for the pats. He said the feud is because Mangini told Belichick that even if offered he was not going to take the Jets job. Then Mangini took the job. He also said that mangini tried to take other coaches with him and this is what angered Belichick. If I remember correctly when Belichick left the Jets he took Mangini with him. So he is full of BS. It's ok when he does it but if someone else even attempts to do the same to him it is a mortal sin. What a crock!
Wasn't just Mangini.....he took Pioli, Crennell, Weis and 10 other guys. It's their right to go wherever they want, just like it's Manginis right to go and try to take guys with him when he gets a job. Belichick is a jerk. I hope that NJ construction worker kicks his ass.
So on top of being a monotone inconsiderate coach, he's a homewrecker, a hypocrite, a d*uchbag, and a soon to be divorced son of a bitch? No wonder his son smokes pot.
I think that coaches are supposed to share inside info with TV crews in the days leading up to the games, so the commentators can share that insight as the game is going on. This might have just been one of those sessions.
Thanks for finding me Jason Cornhole's source  http://forums.theganggreen.com/showthread.php?t=14488
The sins of Bill Blowachunk? Let me count the ways. 1997 -- Took part in Parcells' and Hess' plot to get Parcells away from the NEP by signing up as HC of NYJ for a week and stonewalling the media when they asked the obvious questions. Later in his book he would wax sanctimonius about the conduct of Parcells and the Jets while he still had to coach the NEP in the SB in January 97 1999 -- Took $1 million from Hess before season with understanding that he would stay on as HC of NYJ 2000 -- Resigns as HC of NYJ. Team had still not been bought by Woodhead at that point. Takes Charlie Weis with him as witness in his favor at legal hearings leading up to Belichump's contract release. When he leaves, a ton of assistants go with him. There's not much that can be done to Belichimp that he himself hasn't already done, in a much more blatant manner. The NFL cliche is "its a business." So frankly, if my team needs to be run by a**holes to win, so be it. Then I want the biggest ones in the business. So props to Mangini for everything he's done and and keeping that smile on his face.
