I have only attended two games in my lifetime, but would like to start going to more. How does the waitlist work? Is it worth signing up for the waitlist if I only want to go to 1-3 games a year? How long is the actual wait before you get your season tix? As a member of the waitlist, will I be offered tickets to a game during year 1? I really have no idea how this works. Help!!!
If you join the waiting list, it would most likely take at least 15 years for you to get your tickets. You would need to buy tickets for all 10 home games. You would need to pay 50 dollars a year for you to stay on the waiting list, which would then be put towards your first year of tickets. It does not seem like becoming a season ticket holder would be good for you.
I disagree - you should definitely join the waitlist for your situation. The number one benefit of being on the waitlist other than eventually getting season tickets is you get access to the ticketExchange site immediately. This is an official Jets/Ticketmaster site where season ticket holders who can't use their tickets post them for sale. Buyers always pay face value plus 15%. Sometimes you can find really great seats. I have sat 7 rows back from the 50 and 3 rows back from the 10 yard line so far this year. There have been tickets availabe for every game thus far. If you ever do make it off the waitlist and don't want to pay for the full package of season tickets, you can always sell your rights to the tickets.
Get on it asap If you're a Fan and Buy single games for a few years until your number is up or until your number is up, Which ever comes first.
I believe downstairs tix are NOT as good as the uppers As a season ticket holder, I agree that waitlisting yourself makes sense....its, as mentioned, the best way to get access to my tix when I dont go....but I will say this....I feel that downstairs tix are NOT as good as the uppers....your vision is frequently obstructed downstairs...and I prefer the whole field being there for me to see.
Yeah - there are defintiely some trade-offs. But there is something to be said about being that close to the players and essentially being able to feel the hits
