https://nypost.com/2020/08/28/insid...mpaign=site buttons&__twitter_impression=true This article is beyond scathing. Wouldn't mind trading him but this hurts his value.
If he were on almost any other team, this article wouldn’t even be conceptualized. He’d have had a far better season and there’d be no controversy.
In 1992 we started Browning Nagle and Blair Thomas most of the year. Someone named Mark Boyer started every game at TE for 19 total receptions. Rob Moore was by far our best skill player. 726 yards rec, 4 TD.
Sheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiittttt!!!! Mac is the gift that just keeps on giving.
There was probably a reason he had little interest on the open market. RB is the easiest position to replace.
Sadly it's not even our worst of the decade. 2012, 2013, 2017, 2018 all incredibly trash. This franchise just can't acquire talent.
He looked done last year. What's this pressure on Gase they're talking about? He should play the best back. Here's the problem IF Bell looks the way they're describing he runs like a 1,000 years old back, Gore IS about 1,000 in RB years so where does Gase go? If Bell still stinks on the field and he's causing a stink in the locker room bench him, suspend him. They can get rid of the superstar safety but not a washed up RB? RB is one of the more interchangeable, replaceable parts on a team in the modern game. Bell has no leverage to whine about carries if he stinks.
I can't believe a RB closing in on 30 is falling apart after signing a huge deal....this is a shocking development that no one could have seen coming. The only way to solve this problem is to trade lots of picks for OBJ.
Actually that's a good idea and one of the more logical moves the Jets could make. What have they got to lose? It sure would make up for allowing Robby to walk away in free agency and if he were to come here and click with Darnold boy oh boy that would torment the Giants and their fans.
I don't think OBJ's value is at a lots of picks level entering 2020. Just a feeling. One first round pick might be enough. Possibly slightly less than that.
Yeah I'd say Bell is pretty much done. Especially with reports that he looks like garbage in camp. I was at best hoping his season this year would look like LeSean McCoy's last good year in Buffalo. 287 carries - 1,138 yards (4.0 ypc) and catch 60 balls.
Sorry we had faith that an NFL coach would know not to run one of the best outside runners directly into the middle of a terrible line and also would actually line the best receiving RB up at WR sometimes.
I did NOT want the Jets to sign Bell. I wanted them to go sign Tevin Coleman on the short term deal that he got. RBs are a dime a dozen and they DONT LAST. (Frank Gore and Emmitt Smith don’t count)
I'm not sure how scathing it is. The first couple of sentences make it sound like it's about to shred him but it backs off the heat for most of it.
This guy's article is cute but he's dumb If he thinks benching the worst players in favor of better performing players Is somehow going to be the thing that fans turn on Gase about. If Bell is done, he's done, play Gore if he's better. Like, please?
