Just curious, why would you wait til after this year to be done with Jets? Why endure what is almost certain to be a gut wrenching season and then bail when things start to look up. I’ve completely thrown my hands up at this point. We are the Jets, we can’t have nice things. When we get them, we fuck them up. This point we just have to move on from almost everyone and unfortunately that includes the most prolific pass catching running back of the last decade. Let Perine take the reins when he’s healthy and let Bell sit out for as long as he needs. Maybe Perine can thrive under our next coach, might as well see what we have now. It’s amazing how a bad coach can set your franchise back years.
Maybe Bell is really hurt, but I can't help thinking that this was a "mutual decision" suggested by Gase who has made his hate of Bell thinly veiled since Day 1. I'm willing to bet if Bell is traded to a decent team you'll see a "miraculous recovery" and a return to his old form. Gase is killing the Jets.
Look JD cheaped out on the fans got rid of or the alienated the best two players on the Jets for money. the team owes the fans better then that. HE could have signed clowney and helped the defense but did not. They left resources on the table to help this team and give the fans something and they did not.
