So I keep getting a post popping up on another site, a food truck, which is going to be at a local brewer. It's a burger truck and the pic they use to promote themselves, is this.

Which brings us to our poll.

Personally the burger above doesn't look all that appetizing to me. I have had some good smash burgers before, but they are not something I seek out.

I would rather go with a regular pub burger, something that still has some juicieness to it, not had all the liquid squeezed out of it.

So I was just curious, has the burger world passed me by? Should I get used to the smash burger being the burger of choice? Or are the pub burgers still King.

*I was going to go with "traditional" burger over "pub" burger, but I didn't want anyone picturing a Mickey D's or Burger King burger.

Not for nothing but that looks like roadkill with some asphalt mixed in. o_O

I don't eat meat, it grosses me, so my comment is useless. Sorry.

I like the normal burgers myself. I like them pink on the inside and I feel like smashing them makes them more well done and not as appetizing. I get the appeal though, sometimes that extra crisp factor can be nice.

A real pub burger all day. My family owned a pub growing up, and the best burgers were always cooked in the broiler…. Which not many restaurants have anymore

Glad to see I am not alone. I am not completely against the smash burger but much prefer my pub burger

Pub cheeseburger with curly fries or onion rings, accompanied by an ice cold lager. No other way to do it.

I voted smash burger, but it's really what do you feel like having as they are very different. I love burnt bits, so a good smash burger has a lot of those.

I'm not a big burger guy currently. Maybe I'll phase back into it.
