Saw Billy Strings last weekend (and got waaay to f-ed up)... great guitar player, stupid fans tonight going to see these guys
Several years ago, one time when he came to St. Augustine... I think show was sold out (tix were $$ anyway). Well I got off work and buddy had a free weekend with his wife and 3 daughters out of town... Lets just say we started crushing beers... "Hey lets try and get into the show!"... "Uhh how?" "My daughters always figure it out somehow" So we rode bikes to The Amp, and hopped the fence around back by the tour busses..... we creeped on up, and were only a few feet from sneaking into the crowd.... "GAAAATE CRASHERS!" Rent-a-cops who took their assigment waaaay seriously were on us, and we were escorted out to meet sheriffs deputies. DOH! Luckily I knew one of the cops... "What the F are you guys doing?!?!" "Well his wife and kids are gone so we're drunk..." The other cop with him is just laughing... and they sent us on our way.
You can't go wrong with Alder and Zonder; they added Nick van Dyk from Redemption. Check them out if you haven't already.
Definitely! Love anything alder does. Engine was good too. Zonder is such an underrated drummer. I’ve read that Fates Warning is pretty much over, we may get reunion shows of some kind in the future, that’s about it.
